Crossovers with carlike ride and handling characteristics are perennially popular, and a good example of the breed is the smart-looking Ford Edge. It's a midsize crossover with seating for five. Thanks to its roomy interior, long list of amenities and available all-wheel drive, it's typically a good match for small- and medium-size families seeking a do-it-all utility vehicle.
In road tests, our editors have praised the Edge's quiet ride and advanced features like the MyFord Touch electronics interface, though as with most modern, in-car technology, there's a learning curve. Additionally, Ford offers a range of different engines in the Edge to appeal to crossover buyers seeking performance, fuel economy or a balance of both. Although the Ford Edge might not appeal to bigger families in need of high passenger capacity, it's a solid contender in most other respects.

Leading Edge? - 2010 Ford Edge
By Leading Edge - September 24 - 2:00 amTraded in my 07 Maxima cause it was to low. I really like the ride height of the Edge and the noise level is about the same or better than the Maxima. I do miss some of the features, mostly the stereo. Ford really missed the mark on this one. The digital display is directly from the 80s, even though satellite radio equipped. Even Hyundai uses a LCD display instead of Green/Black read out. Overall I am pleased with the vehicle and will probably replace the radio asap.

By mahroni - September 21 - 2:00 amThe title speaks for itself. i love this car. I leased my 2011 edge sport last week. i have all the options on it except for rear seat DVD players. I love everything about it. I get stopped 2 or 3 times a day by other drivers asking about this car. i have had bmw, mercedes, infinit, audi, lexus. none of them compare to this car. go drive one and youll know what i am talking about.

Superior to my 07 Highlander - 2010 Ford Edge

This EDGE has more power,excellent ride & much better on fuel(26 hwy/21 around town) and good looks. With all the rebates & dealing 23,200 before trade in. Glad to be back buying AMERICAN. Ford has a winner here.

Very Happy Thus Far - 2011 Ford Edge
By u098328 - September 15 - 2:00 amIve purchased Toyotas in the past 15 years and decided to try the Ford Edge. I am very happy with my purchase thus far. Purchased the FWD Limited with the 302A package. The vehicle provides many amenities that you cant get in a Toyota. Build quality seems great. I encourage you to test drive one. If you opt to purchase one, DO NOT purchase the cargo cover. Its laughable (poorly designed).

2010 Edge Lemon - 2010 Ford Edge
By William O. - September 13 - 2:00 am5 Hours after buying this, systems started failing. It has been in the shop for a full 32 days and 3 mornings. The sunroof rattles, tranny failed, brake rotors failed (2600 miles), GPS system failed (Media, Phone, Radio and Nav screens lock/glitch), Iphone is incompatible, seat loses memory, USB failed, and tire pressure sensors failed. I have been battling Ford to fix these problems, and now I am trying to get them to take it back. I had a meeting with a Cust serv rep and field engineer that was a choreographed farce. The engineer who decides if they take it back himself dropped the ball back in April. I have now filed for BBB and NYS AGs arbitration. I dont trust this vehicle. 5500 miles.

Ford Listens - 2011 Ford Edge
By Napsedge - September 12 - 2:00 amI purchased my first Ford in 2007, a fully loaded edge. Only complaint I had was interior. I just got my 2011 and all I can say is WOW! The car is stunning (20 inch wheels). Many people stare and come see it when I am parked. The interior and technology is top rate! I feel like I am driving a $60k car. With the rebates I paid less than I did in 2007. The ride feels like my friends X5, really tight and crisp and the brakes are stronger than my last one. Anybody shopping for a CUV please go try a 2011 Edge, it is unbelievable.

My 2010 Ford Edge is a Lemon - 2010 Ford Edge
By William O. - September 8 - 2:07 amSince I bought it, the tire sensors, Nav system, sunroof, USB, door, power seat, transmission and brakes have all failed. I have 5500 miles on. I have lost it for service 32 days and 3 mornings. Ford has been a nightmare to deal with. Stories, lies, refusal to fix/replace systems etc. I finally had a meeting with cust serv, which was a choreographed show and waste of time. They cant fix everything and wont take it back.

Transmission - 2008 Ford Edge

The Cutting Edge - 2010 Ford Edge

It just feels so stable and well built! We trade in a Lexus IS250 for the Edge because we needed more room and we are not sorry!
