The Chevrolet Colorado is Chevy's entry in the highly competitive compact truck segment. Like its rivals, the Colorado is closer to midsize than truly compact. Accordingly, it offers a reasonable amount of hauling capability without the added cost and bulk of a full-size pickup. As is customary in this segment, Chevrolet offers extended-cab and four-door crew-cab layouts, multiple bed lengths and available off-road preparation.

Older versions of the Chevy Colorado could be worth a look if you need a basic work truck, but their four- and five-cylinder engines are weak for this class (though you may find a few examples with a robust optional V8 engine). Colorados from 2015 and later are dramatically better, with competitive powertrains, up-to-date technology features and a spacious interior.

  Recently purchased this vehicle after much research and I am highly impressed with this machine. External looks are impressive. Inside design suits my taste to a T. Sound system is excellent. Could not be happier with the combination of power and fuel economy of the 5 cylinder engine and 4 speed automatic. Price was also right.

  I opted for the Colorado because of the MPG and for the tow rating. Tows 3500 lbs like a dream! Could not be happier, except that the seat upgrade would have been a wise choice!

  I traded my 2006 Tacoma for the Colorado Crew cab, 5cyl, 2wd. To be honest, this was my first American vehicle in quite a few years. I was very surprised and pleased with the quality of the truck and the power of the engine. Its a fun truck to drive and has all the creature comforts that I wanted.

  I dont get the bad "expert" reviews of this truck. It is the only Crew Cab pickup available with a 4 cyl engine. It performs adequately and gets 26 mgh o the highway! Shes comfortable, quiet, and her exterior styling is the best in its class. I drove them all, the Tacoma rides rough, the Frontier is worse. It has the best back seat in its class. Dont be swayed by the so- called "experts." Test drive this truck and make up your own mind. By the way, all of the "innovative" features in the Tacoma and Frontier, such as the tie down tracks) will end up more of an annoyance than a convenience. The Colorado is a good solid, reliable pickup.

  First off, this is NOT for the full sizer. GMs target market segment is the user who needs to occasionally carry loads from the local home improvement store. GM hit the mark. Good: Gas mileage Utility Cabin space BROAD powerband & SMOOTH delivery Accomplished ride Quiet cabin Driveability Aesthetic design The inline 5 doesnt have the low-end torque of a V8, but thats not what I needed. It has enough acceleration and also has sufficient highway passing power. I am impressed with the deliver of the I5s power. The power-band is very broad and smooth. It has a much more refined ride than expected in a compact truck. This truck really is practical.

  Ive always wanted a Silverado but when i got to the dealership it made more econmic sense for me to go with something smaller so i took out the Colorado. So far I love this truck, plenty of power, Inline engines are the best cant be touched, and also excellent decision to make something bigger than an s-10. i get great gas mileage out of a full tank i get about 250 miles which is great for me

  I just bought this pickup, but I must say, I love it. The only thing I am not happy with is the tires it came with. They are the General Ameri- Track Tires. I would prefer to have gotten A/T tires with a 4x4

  This is a great truck for running around town. Very quiet cabin when driving around town and at highway speeds. Plenty of leg room and the leather interior is very easy to keep clean. I get around 20 mpg around town, and a little higher on the highway. I have had zero problems so far even though some reviews by rating editors question the quality of build. This is a very nice truck for the price!

  The truck is fun to drive, It has OnStar, leather, heated seats, etc. Handles great, and tows well. The Z71 PKG is a must have.
