Rides like a sedan not a truck. Very quiet and nice options like moon roof, great stereo system.

2-word summarization: DEPENDABILITY & RELIABILITY! Of course the Tundras Gotta have it factor also played a major roll as well. ANY vehicle you look at, has to have a certain "look" which simply makes you want that vehicle. The Tundra has TONS of this! In fact, weve only owned our Tundra for just about a month and I STILL catch myself standing in the garage just looking at the truck, or worse, just sitting in it! I NEVER thought a truck could ride this good and be this quite even with the TRD package! Theres PLENTY of room for my over 6 frame. EVEN IN THE BACK SEAT! The most comfortable we tested! Owning a 95 Tacoma with 122K didn’t hurt either!

  • Buyer Beware - 2004 Toyota Tundra

Although this is a great driving and good looking truck, after just 3 years and 64000 miles it is falling apart. It is driven as a family car and is not used as a contractors truck. 1st the overdrive sending unit went out at 61000. Next the limit slip differential broke after driving from a parking spot over a curb. Now the tranny is going! We bought a 100K bumper to bumper extended warranty from the dealer - NOT WORTH THE PAPER IT IS PRINTED ON!! I have had to pay for all repairs. So far over $3000. P.S. POOR gas mileage and eats tires - on 3rd set. Also on 3rd set of brake pads.

I purchased my 04 DC in Dec 03 after driving my last Toyota pickup for 10yrs & 170k. The Tundra fits my needs perfectly. Its V8 is smooth, plenty of room for gear & friends, and tows like a champ. Not as flashy as some of the competitors, but I like the simplicity of its design and its features are functional, not so gee whiz. A plus IMO.

  • Remarkable truck! - 2004 Toyota Tundra

I picked up my 2004 Tundra Double Cab SR5 V8 3 weeks ago. It had 24k miles on it and is in excellent condition in and out. I was able to work the dealer over on the price, and got it for exactly what I was willing to pay. Two grand under KBB. I would like to share my initial impressions. First, the trucks ride is extraordinary. It is smooth and extremely quiet. It rides like a Lexus. The handling is nice, but somewhat loose. It is no effort to carry on a low conversation with backseat passengers at highway speed. Controls are in easy reach and the JBL stereo sounds great. Doors close with a solid thump that inspires a secure feeling. Best ext. styling in its class, IMO. Would buy again.

  • I love my Toyota! - 2004 Toyota Tundra

When shopping for a new truck, my wife asked me to consider a Ford, because a friend could get us areally great deal on a Ford. No Way! I drive 35K miles a year, and I dont want a truck that’ll give me problems before it has 150,000 miles on it. My old Toyota has 197,000 miles on it, and except for maintenance my total repair bills have been $220. An EGR tube and speedo cable. American cars do not have the quality of a Toyota. Our friend with the Ford has had a lot of problems; power windows/power door locks, cruise control and brakes. It’s left him stranded on the side of the road twice! He doesnt have 50,000 miles on it, and hes buying a new Ford.

  • What a Truck - 2004 Toyota Tundra

I walked into a great truck. After checking out Fords we decided to just check out Toyotas. What a shock. Bigger, Better, Bolder. This truck blew the doors off Ford. Great power yet so quiet and smooth. the interior is easy nothing difficult to reach lots of cubbies and a CD player standard. Real cloth seats carpet Auto windows and door locks, I would have had to pay extra for these with a ford. Rides is sturdy not overly stiff and it feels fun to drive. I feel like I got a lot of truck for a decent price where other trucks seemed cheaper in quality but more in price. Incredible looks by the way

  • A good ride - 2004 Toyota Tundra

I have now owned 2 Tundras and loved both of them. Comfortable ride, extremely dependable, peppy when needed, Service regularly and it performs well. A little crowded for a family of 5 when traveling far, but all seats are comfortable for full sized adults. Smoothest ride in a 4 wheel drive truck I have been in.
