The four-door Double Cab joins the 2004 Toyota Tundra lineup. The Double Cab rides on an extended wheelbase of 140.5 inches, and features a cargo bed equal in length to the Access Cab's while gaining 3.5 inches of depth.

Pros:
  • Smooth and refined V8, Toyota build quality and reliability, easy maneuverability in urban areas, roomy Double Cab configuration.
Cons:
  • Lacks serious brawn for towing and hauling, uncomfortable front seats, cramped rear seat in Access Cab, chintzy interior trimmings.

THIS IS THE MOST FUN I COULD HAVE IMAGINED. IVE ALWAYS LOVED TOYOTA QUALITY, BUT THIS BREAKS ALL OF THE RULES. ITS GUTSY, IT FITS THE SPORT BIKES.....AND THE PRICE IS RIGHT. i WOULD RECOMMEND THIS TRUCK TO ANYONE.

Ive driven nearly every type of pickup before I purchased the Tundra. The Tundra outmatches its competition as long as youre looking for a lightweight pickup. Because Toyota does not offer a 3/4 ton pickup that is the only reason it isnt the best compared in that category.

This is my third Tundra, its the four door four wheel drive model. Lots of room and pulls my boat better than my Silverado 5.3 ever did. The interior is pretty plain.....but the reliability of Toyota keeps me coming back and the Exterior is easy on the eyes.

I drove them all and couldnt resist the tundra d-cab, even though it doesnt fit in my garage (at 230 in. you may want to check)! I love the styling it is deceptively larger than most crews. The ride is extremely smooth and quiet..its difficult to keep my wife out of the driver seat. Ideal truck for large families as the back seats and area are extremely comfortable for kids of all ages. The gas mileage for metro commutes is approx 16 with highway reaching 18. The V8 is adequate and I highly recommend a mass air flow filter such as a K&N ($34 on-line), this really improved throttle response and overall performance. Great truck!

  • Dependable, quality ride! - 2004 Toyota Tundra

I like this truck because of its smooth ride. I look forward to many years (hopefully) of dependability with this one. The bed is incredible, too. It is so big, it makes the hood of the truck look almost small. I wont have any problems loading up for family camping trips now. Not the greatest in accelleration, but smooth, quiet ride for a truck.

I loved it when I first saw it, and it went uphill from there! The optional leather captains chairs give great support and plenty of comfort. The numerous cup holders, pockets, and console storage bins and underseat tool storage areas are very convenient. The only down side is less than expected fuel economy. GREAT TRUCK!

It was my dads truck and he was meticulous about taking care of it and getting oil changes. Truck is spacious with a huge back seat. It goes to show, if you know how to drive and take care of a vehicle, you wont have problems.

Drove off the lot and heard a rattle in the steering colum. Turned out to be a miissing bolt in the steering colum. The back window leaked. The Driver window "when partially opened" rattles a lot.

  • Awsome - 2004 Toyota Tundra

I love my 04 Tundra. It is such a smooth ride. I go driving for the hell of it just cause it is so fun to drive. The only thing that sucks is the fuel.
