This Year's Model Updates:

The Sienna has been completely redesigned for 2004. Roomier and more powerful than before, Toyota's minivan entry now has the all-important fold-flat third-row seat, as well as a choice of seven- or eight-passenger seating (on lower level trims) and available all-wheel drive.

Pros:
  • Reliable Camry genes, refined V6, fold-flat 60/40 third-row seat, seven- and eight-passenger seating configurations, available all-wheel drive.
Cons:

I just traded in my 03 Sienna for an 04. The 04 has so many more ammenities and is so much for versatile. I absolutely love the safety features especially the Curtain Air Bags down all three rows of seating. The 04 has a much better ride and a roomy interior. What a great van!! Everyone asks why would you trade an 03 for an 04.....drive one and compare the two...

I didnt think that I would like a mini van, but I was wrong. We traded our Lexus RX300 for the Sienna. It is much more comfortable, better gas mileage and all the conveniences of home. It is very kid friendly. With the back seats up you can transport 2 strollers, plenty of room for 2 car seats and more people. We packed a stroller and suitcases for 5 people in the back and had 6 people up front with no crowding. More cup and bottle holders than you need and the DVD player is a real plus. Definitely a car worth keeping around with a growing family.

This is the worst new automobile that I ever bought. Radio didnt work out of the dealership and it leaked when parked in the rain. A year later radiator cracked and was replaced. Then came multitude of recalls. Run flat tires needed to replaced every 15,000 miles. The kicker is when my van broke down due to a faulty heat sensor at 80,000 miles the Toyota extra care does not want to pay.

Bought in May 2004. Back air conditioning control worked on and off. Needed new tires at 40,000 miles. Needed new tires again at 80,000, and new tires wore on front after only 15,000 miles, even after alignment. Brakes needed replacing at 50,000 and never worked right after. Transmission went out at 85,000 mi. and I got rid of the van. Was very disappointed with Toyota quality.

I took a big mental leap and went from a volvo wagon to the 2004 Toyota Sienna this past July. "Life-changing" might be too subtle a word. Now the (3) kids have tons of room, can watch movies on long rides (I got the dealer to throw in an extra pair of wireless headphones -- who buying a minivan really only needs two pair anyway???) and Im getting over that "Im driving a mack truck feeling" and my husband has stopped waving me into the driveway like Im parking a plane on the tarmac. All in all, Ive been totally happy with my purchase.

  • What A Great Van - 2004 Toyota Sienna

This is our first minivan. I drove them all and couldnt find anything as nice as the Toyota. It was alittle more money than we wanted to spend, however, since we plan on keeping for quite some time we decided to go with the best.

I love this van. It is great. The styling is great, the interior is great, the features are great. Price is a little high though, but the features make up for it.

Everythings great. Only criticism is the rattling center table, which should have been more useful and quieter.
