This Year's Model Updates:

The Sienna has been completely redesigned for 2004. Roomier and more powerful than before, Toyota's minivan entry now has the all-important fold-flat third-row seat, as well as a choice of seven- or eight-passenger seating (on lower level trims) and available all-wheel drive.

Pros:
  • Reliable Camry genes, refined V6, fold-flat 60/40 third-row seat, seven- and eight-passenger seating configurations, available all-wheel drive.
Cons:

I wanted a minivan that can dethrone the Odyssey and this one did. It has a better interior and quiter ride.

All the problems we have encountered seem to be my fault not TOYOTA. Can U believe that? Run flat tires were replaced at 20km. Rims destroyed while replacing new tires. Side doors are rusting even though theres tape for protection. Sliding door wire snapped off because of rust, (2mths before end of warranty). Paint job on van must be poor quality because rust is showing through. We have changed our front & back brakes & wheel bearing the 2nd time in 4yrs. Really frustrated! Not to mention all the recalls. No one wants to acknowledge there are problems with 2004 awd vans but me

The 2004 Sienna has exceeded our expectations. We have a new baby daughter and we were in need of a new vechicle. After test driving the 2004 Sienna along with the Honda Oddessy, and Dodge Caravan, our choice was easy. The only negative about the Sienna was that it took us 2 1/2 months to find the Sienna Limited. We found one, and drove it home the next day.

  • Best Minivan Ever - 2004 Toyota Sienna

I have love this van. It has the best ride I have ever experienced. I had a 96 Chevy Lumina minivan before I got my Sienna and its was the greatest van for its "time", but it was old and didnt match up to all the options and features that were available on todays minivans. I liked the Oddyssey at first, but when I saw the Sienna, the Oddyssey didnt even compare to it. It VERY comfortable and the features availble make it even better.

  • Cheap build - 2004 Toyota Sienna

After owning a Toyota Tundra for a couple years, I decided Id buy another Toyota. Unfortunately, the Sienna has had a bunch of problems. Our most recent problems involve poor build quality, including: 1. The lock mechanism on the rear door came apart because all of the screws fell out. 2. The inside door panel of the driver side door is partially disconnected from the door and gets stuck on the weather stripping when you try to open the door. The clips that hold the panel on are plastic and they broke easily. 3. The first set of tires wore out very quickly. 4. The first set of brakes wore out very quickly. 5. The battery goes dead after about 15 minutes if a door is left open.

  • My First Mini-Van - 2004 Toyota Sienna

Excellent and comfortable ride. Gets great mileage on the highway, but I find it guzzles in the city. My kids love the roll down sliding door windows. This is my first mini-van after driving subcompacts for 25 years so it is taking some getting used to. I still find it hard to park but it has a very tight turning circle. The split 3rd row seats are very handy for hauling stuff and kids. I dont know why no other minivan has this feature? This is the most comfortable vehicle I have owned. Is very smooth and quiet even at high highway speeds (75MPH)

Lots of room and places to store stuff. The Seina holds more than the Tacomas 6ft bed. I dont miss my Toyota Tacoma one bit. Very smooth and controled ride. Great fuel economy. Im averaging 22+ mpg and the motor is still breaking in (1500 miles). Its only going to get better.

My wife and I never thought that we would be in a mini-van, but here we are. We test drove several models. The new Sienna handles like a car with a ton of room on the inside. We are very happy with our purchase.
