  • T-SB-0094-11 Engine Oil Consumption Engine Problems Engine Noise - 2006 Toyota RAV4
    By -

Our Vehicle: RAV4 4-Cyl Limited (As in Limited Quality) Our Dealership: Colonial Toyota of Lincoln RI. This is my wifes daily driver. After 50k miles, the vehicle has the following problem: Technical Service Bulletin (TSP) T-SB-0094-11. About a month ago the engine light came on, after running an oil consumption test on our vehicle, the service manager said that it “only” burned 1 quart of engine oil in 1000 miles, which they said was within specifications. This I do not buy given my 2003 Honda Accord LX with 165,000 miles, had never had engine oil consumption issues. The engine output power seems to be in declined. The engine noise within the cabin is worst than my Accord!

  • Wont Look Back - 2006 Toyota RAV4

After trading in My Chevy Tahoe I thought I would miss the luxury of a big car. The new RAV4 is luxury, ability, agility and so much more. The car rides smooth, steering is tight and it commands power when needed. I am blown away by its sheer acceleration power. Lots of room to make up for its smaller size.

  • Excellent value and utility - 2006 Toyota RAV4

Traded in an Explorer for the RAV4 and havent regretted it. Amazing cargo space with the back seat down, and pretty good with it up too. The 4 cylinder engine is very peppy, although with my lead foot and in-town driving I average 21mpg. No mechanical or electrical problems at 33,000 miles. For a single person, couple, or small family its great.

  • New RAV4 - 2006 Toyota RAV4

Just bought our new RAV4. We are happy with our decision, but would recommend that people wait for the initial demand for these cars to die down before buying. It is a well made car that is well worth the money we paid. Didnt give the car 10s because we believe that no car is perfect, and it is a compact SUV after all. There are cars on the market that are superior, just not for the type of car and not for the price range.

  • 2 Years with the Rav - 2006 Toyota RAV4
    By -

Noticed that many have only had their cars for 2 months and are extremely pleased. Had mine for 2 years so heres a real review. Fit and finish, build are very good. I have the base 4WD. Handles great in the snow. The only thing I would improve on is the mileage. I get 22 city/hgwy. After 2 years am bored looking at it. Am waiting for something a little more sporty, that gets better mileage. Am sure Ill plenty to choose from, then Ill say bye bye Rav.

  • Worth the wait ....so far - 2006 Toyota RAV4
    By -

Had a very hard time getting a loaded 4x4 Limited V6. Only have it a few weeks but so far it was worth the wait. There is no other vehicle in its class that compares. The fit and finish, ride, look and everything about the car is great. The dealer experience was horrible. The car has electric steering, a great turning radius and most of the bells and whistles one could want. I originally was against having the spare mounted on the tailgate (which opens like a door instead of like a hatchback) but it isnt heavy opening the door and it affords internal storage space. Havent had an opportunity to verify the MPG but it seems good so far. Love the big 6 but settled on color due to availability.

  • New RAV is great - 2006 Toyota RAV4

We just purchased our Rav 4, It is great. We needed to get a vehicle with a third seat for our extended family. The third seat option is hard to find, but if you want a base model with it order Now! We had to get the limited to get it but we are very happy with it.The 2.4 has plenty of power and is good on gas. The many other features are just a bonus. Good luck in your toyota search!

  • Downsize to the RAV4 - 2006 Toyota RAV4
    By -

I picked it up just a week ago, and I love it. Owned a ’99 RAV4, and it was a great car. We downsized from my gas-guzzling V8 Explorer, but the V6 on the RAV is much more responsive. We got the side-air bags and towing package, with the 4WD. Note: the “towing package” consists of a larger radiator and enhanced electrical system – the trailer hitch setup is NOT included. Skip the cramped 3rd row seats (our salesman discouraged getting them) – frees up storage space.

  • Teenage Driver - 2006 Toyota RAV4

For a 19 year old I needed a smaller suv to hold both of my dogs. Compared to any other smaller suv this toyota RAV4 had the most room, great gas mileage, and was the most reliable. I got the RAV4 Sport 4x4 V6 I have only had the car for a few days and I love it. It had a lot of get up and go, I feel safe in it, the sunroof is great, and the upgraded sound system is very very nice. I would recommend this car to everyone.

  • I like my RAV - 2006 Toyota RAV4
    By -

I do love my RAV, but there are things that are disappointing since it is a Toyota. The ride could be smoother and I do not get the gas mileage reported on the sticker, my 6 disk indash CD player display also messes up a lot. I love the look, design on the inside and the room that it offers for a small SUV.
