great driving - 2006 Toyota RAV4
By upnup - December 24 - 4:40 pmIve driven about 600 miles in my V6, half freeway, half city. So far its been great. Lots of pep, looks beautiful, feels like a substantial car while maintaining a nimble feel. Ive gotten 26 on the highway and 21 in the city. Once I get my aftermarket leather itll be perfect.

Good yuppie car - 2006 Toyota RAV4
By philly driver - October 4 - 5:53 amExcellent car in lieu of buying a comparable 4 door sedan. Shorter but roomier than Camry (thus easier to park). More utility (available 4 wheel drive) and younger persona than a Camry but close in price. Fills niche for people who want a reliable 5 passenger, fun to drive car with extra cargo room. No reason to get a 4 door sedan when a RAV4 is an option.

Wow! - 2006 Toyota RAV4
By ech6548 - September 18 - 6:43 amI test drove a lot of SUVs and this is the one that rang my bells! This gets great gas mileage and is one with the road. It is truly a pleasure to drive.

former Ford owner - 2006 Toyota RAV4
By Dan - September 5 - 9:40 pmengine is great, mpg is fantastic for an suv on the highway. Ride is better than any suv Ive been in. Plenty of storage for gear. Very quiet for an suv and scoots up steep hills as well as a sedan and small sports car. Will wait till winter to see what it does in snow. Only problem is that there is no satellite connectivity - have to wait for aftermarket dash fit kit to swap out for NAV/CD/SAT radio.

Uglee tires - 2006 Toyota RAV4
By grumpy guy - March 22 - 1:06 amThis vehicle justified our reasons for purchasing. It performs decently in off road situations, has good clearance, mileage has been 22 city, 27 highway, exceeding expectations. Did not expect the rattles from Toyota. Did not expect the tires to be bald at 30,000 miles. Discovered Yokohama tires are crap. Am surprised Toyotas famed quality experts chose this particular tire. We knew we were sacrificing a soft ride to get limited off road capabilities. We like the spare tire where it is. Like the rear side opening door. Anybody who thinks differently should buy a danged van.

Best Redesign Toyota could have done! - 2006 Toyota RAV4
By l in nj - March 5 - 2:16 amLove my 06 Rav4 LTD. Made a 10 time Camry buyer never want to drive a car again. Comfortable, smooth, roomy, great in snow and 4wd cant be beat. Quiet and reliable as all Toyotas are. Room for storage is great. Will never switch to anything but a Toyota SUV. Thought Camry was the greatest car in the world but the RAV4 put its baby sister to shame. Only complaint I have. Buy one an see for yourself.

Oh, what a feeling! - 2006 Toyota RAV4
By Gwen - March 3 - 5:13 pmHad my Rav (4 cyl) for over a year and love everything about it. Bought the base model with extras like all the airbags. Didnt get fancy wheels, but washing the covers is lots easier. Its never been on a trip so I have only gotten about 25 mpg average. Got some bad fuel once and had some acceleration problems, but it wasnt the cars fault. Lots of backseat leg room, very comfortable for passengers. Also like the fact that the front passenger airbag will not come on if the front passenger is too light. Love parking it too, it fits nearly anywhere, even it the large SUV beside you goes over the line, youve still got room.
