Overview & Reviews
The 2007 Toyota Prius lineup gets a little racier, as Toyota adds the Prius Touring model, which has a sport-tuned suspension, 16-inch alloy wheels, foglamps, xenon headlights and a larger rear lip spoiler. The other notable change for 2007 is that the original Toyota hybrid car now comes standard with front-seat side airbags and full-length head curtain airbags.
- Outstanding gas mileage, low emissions, generous amount of interior room, easy to maneuver in tight spaces, excellent build quality, reasonable price.

Great car for practical people - 2007 Toyota Prius
By Allen - December 1 - 4:53 amI went from a 98 Chevy S-10 to a 07 Prius and have yet to have a real complaint. Dont care about image or stupid things like 0-60 in under 5 seconds, Im just going from A to B and I like to throw a lot of things in the back like my old truck. I get about 50-51 mpg consistently (my wife is pedal heavy and she still gets 44 mpg at worst); so what if it doesnt hit EPA, no car does, and Im still easily beating most cars at 50mpg. I would totally recommend this car to anyone who can afford it. The most basic Prius comes with many more features than most other cars so dont be tricked into thinking a basic hybrid is way more expensive than a basic Civic, compare it to something similar.

Uncomfortable, at best - 2007 Toyota Prius
By Uncomfortable seats - October 22 - 2:40 amOverall this is a great little car, but be careful if you dont get the adjustable leather seats. Ive had the car for about 1 1/2 years and although Ive saved a lot of money in gas, Ive spent a lot of money on acupuncture treatments for my back - and I didnt have a back problem before I started driving this car. It seems they put all the expense under the hood and then skimped on comfort. I tend to get a new car every 2 to 3 years and Ive never had one with such an uncomfortable seat. Im selling it soon.

I Love This Car - 2007 Toyota Prius
By M Boury - October 12 - 6:43 amThis is my first Toyota, let alone a hybrid. I read everything I could to see if I would even consider it and decided to take the plunge. Am I ever glad I did! The man who went over the cars features explained that speeding up and coasting would be the best way to save fuel. Well see about that, but in the meantime I am having the time of my life in my new "Toy."

Great Investment - 2007 Toyota Prius
By Allen - September 26 - 5:30 amI have put about 1400 miles on this car so far and love it more each day. It has a lot more power than I expected for a gas saving vehicle. Plenty of power to pass. Very stable on the road. 44 to 50 mpg with more aggressive driving. More room inside than it looks. Ive also road as a passanger in the back, even with the front seats all the way back there was plenty of room. Handles great on wet pavement and taking corners fast. Very smooth ride and feels like it has control of the road. Plenty of room in the hatch back area with additional underneath, also has a cover to pull over to hide it all from view. Plenty of compartments for cups front and back, sunglasses up front.

Happy go Lucky - 2007 Toyota Prius
By Happy Go Lucky - September 7 - 5:06 pmWhen I first bought the car, I said only the wife should drive but soon all of us were drawn to drive this space shaped car. Easy car to own for city folk. Dont go long distances because your seat will not offer the comfort needed for long trips. Great mileage and fun to drive in the city. Enjoy a simple interior design that fits 4 comfortably. A car for all in the city. All we have done is changed the oil and regular maintenance.

Some complaints but still quite happy - 2007 Toyota Prius
By Frank Germann - September 5 - 7:46 amI got Package 5. This is actually my wifes car but I drive it about half the time and probably over half the miles. We really like it especially the mileage. We have been getting over 50 MPG lately but as low as 36 in winter with minus 20 temperatures and short trips of 6 miles to work and back. The back bumper cover didnt fit well both sides and glove box had to be replaced twice because of non uniform gap. Also one of my Goodyear tires had to be replaced at my expense. They said we abused the tire which was false. We have had this car a year now and we use it whenever we can and the Camry, which only gets 31, sits in the garage. The 15,000 mile service cost almost $200 which is a rip off

Good family car - 2007 Toyota Prius
By anhdao - August 24 - 8:43 amTraded in my Acura RSX for this prius when I was 6 months pregnant because I wanted something more family friendly that would also be easy for me to drive late in my pregnancy. This car runs well, is very comfortable and practical. Now that I have had my baby, it fits my car seat and stroller and I even have

Love my Priuss - 2007 Toyota Prius
By rubber2road - July 26 - 3:58 pmAt age 56 I have come to appreciate the practical things in life much more. No more do I require a vehicle that does 0-60 mph in less than 6 seconds. I much more appreciate value for my $1. My 2007 Prius was my first purchase of a Toyota and I had to convince my wife of the new purchase as she didnt like the looks of the car. But after driving it and seeing all the features it had, she suddenly changed her thinking and hopped on board. That was 8 years, 174,00 miles ago. Though we bought a new 2014 Prius in July 2014, we are finding it hard to part with our 07. It runs great, has the original battery and will chirp the tires during hard acceleration from a stop, something the 14 wont do.

A Feel Good Car - 2007 Toyota Prius
By mjvphx - July 21 - 7:36 pmI traded in my 2003 Mercedes Benz ML500 and I have no regrets. I was getting 13 mpg with the Benz and it cost me $60 to fill up using premium fuel. Great ride, good performance and the technology is wonderful. Great gas mileage about 48 mpg.

Good, efficient transporation - 2007 Toyota Prius
By benson11 - June 25 - 11:14 pmThis car is good for what it is intended, getting from point A to point B. It is definitely not a sports car or the ultimate driving experience. It is great on gas and gets better mileage during the summer (when it is hotter). I am afraid to bring this up to the snow since it is somewhat under powered (for the higher elevations) and it isnt all wheel drive. Overall, this is great, practical transportation.
