  • Great Car - 2006 Toyota Corolla

After having the car for only 2 weeks I was rear ended. Being at a stop and getting hit by a car going 20 MPH. Only $1200 in damage. Have to say it held up real well. It is not as nice to drive as my last vehicle (top of the line Chevy 1500) but good gas mileage and comfortable. Plenty of room for wife and 2 kids. Great trunk size.

I am not pleased with this car at all. fuel mileage is 32mpg on hwy. inside noise is to loud, any slight wind blows the car all over the place its not stable. the factory windshild crack easy with the smallest of pebbles.

First, I think Corollas are overpriced for being as bare bone as they are. Second concern is the quality. 1) Interior - I hear rattling noises every time the car goes over a small bump. Drivers seat is not stable in its position - keeps sliding back/forth when accelerating/braking. I already see the panels that cover side airbags begin getting unglued. 2) Brakes - very poor quality. I drive very carefully and I almost got into a couple of accidents since the time a bought the car. 3) Gas mileage - I do not get more than 25 mph driving in the city. I drove for almost 900 miles and I still see no improvements. 4) Low-beam lights are too dim to drive at night. There is a recall on that

  • Mini Luxury Sedan - 2006 Toyota Corolla

Traded in a 1997.5 Infiniti J30 on this car, and so Im dealing with culture shock. Nonetheless, so far, Ive been impressed with the car. The quality of materials is excellent overall, and the car has a luxury-car feel even though its a compact, high-mpg commuter car. Handling is a little mushy in turns, but that might be related to the Goodyear Integrity tires, not the suspension. Road and wind noise are surprisingly low, and engine noise while cruising is also generally low. Ive averaged about 30 mpg in mixed driving. Trunk space is excellent for a car of this size, and interior comfort is high. Lack of standard ABS and side air bags is disappointing, given the competition.

What can I say, you get what you pay for. While the car is very dependable and gets good mileage why do the windshield washers freeze, even with good quality washer fluid? Why do the rain gutters insist on failing to do there job? Why does it take so long to heat the cabin in winter? Why Toyota, why, this is supposed to be the magic carpet ride of automobiles, the unfailing Toyota Motor Co. The title of my review says it all.

  • Fun to drive - 2006 Toyota Corolla

The new Toyota is fun to drive and very good on gas mileage around 35 MPG! I was going to buy a used Corolla however, they were just too expensive used so I went for a new car and made the right decision.

I really like this car and could brag about it for days when it comes to styling, reliability and gas mileage. Here is a list of things I hate about it. The drivers seat does not go back enough. No standard cruise and the standard wipers lack intermittent feature other cars have. The biggest thing is that stupid buzzer for no seat belt. How many times do you get rolling before getting the belt on or want to make a quick stop so you take the belt off before stopping. That stupid buzzer noise drives me nuts. I have driven many cars over the years both newer and older and none of them irritate me like this one.

This has been a great car. I drive over 2000 miles a month. Most of the time I get 38 miles to the gal. If I keep it at 65 on interstate I can get up to 43. Great reliability.

We bought our Corolla 3 years ago and it works just as well as the day we bought it, despite having 64 000 km on it! The cost of the corolla is similar to American made vehicles but the quality is far better. I would highly recommend one.

so far so good-after a 2000 neoen this thing is great-i like the high exit hight after a long day of work- nice ride for a car its size, plenty of pep from the 1.8 and even though its a little soft in corners i would expect that from a car sitting this high- interior is a little cheap looking-the neon had a much nicer interior looks and quality of materials used-not sure how well all the plastic will hold up in the corolla- 40mpg or so on the highway is real nice- auto headlights are a gimmick that works great-
