  • Great car,but boring! - 2004 Toyota Corolla

Bought my 2004 Corolla Ce last year.It is better built then even what my beloved Civics were but i have to say that Civics are much more comfortable to drive and stylish,on that note my Corolla gives me much better highway performance as far as accleration goes than my civics ever did.Reliabilty has been the best of any car i ever had and it seems to get better every day.No surprises with this car ,good on highway, but boring, boring ,boring, inside and out.If its looks your after choose a Honda Civic or Mazda 3!

  • Great little car. - 2004 Toyota Corolla

This car feels solid and rides solid and comfortable. The fuel economy is excellent. I am a 6 ft. 2in. adult and I have taken this car on long trips without feeling the need to stop and rest often. I have a bad back and this car is comfortable to drive. It gives a nice quiet ride.

Fun to drive, great mpg, decent performance. Buying on reputation of excellent quality but so far disappointed at 1,400 miles. A/C blower switch and CD door broken already. Love the ride and EZ control panels. Would recommend despite the little things. Difficult to see back when parking. Not as low to exit as the Honda Civic so better ergonomics for those not wanting to rock and spring out of the seat. Love the auto-on light feature, but definitely needs more ways to adjust the driver seat.

  • All in all AOK car - 2004 Toyota Corolla

Biggest gripe: the steering wheel is too close to the dash, so if I adjust the seat for leg comfort, I cant reach it. Make steering wheel telescopic!! Handling is very good, ride a little bumpy (well, its not a Camry). Exterior scratches very easily. My dogs ride comfortably. *Great* mileage. Did brakes/rotors at 50K, otherwise have done nothing but oil changes and it runs like a charm. Very reliable, which I love - I never have to worry about being stranded.

  • Practical car for the dollar - 2004 Toyota Corolla
    By -

After researching many small cars (Civics, Aveo) I found the Corolla. First Toyota Ive owned. Great on gas mileage. Car is suppose to last as long as a Honda. The only complaint I have is the steering wheel is too far away. I have to keep the seat up close to reach the wheel. And Im only 59". Otherwise a good, practical car. Be cautious of Toyota dealers. They have a way of getting you a loan with a higher interest rate. Ask first what thier best offer is. A good dependable car is good, but if the financing is not, youll loose a lot of money over the long haul of a 5 year loan.

  • Couldnt Get Used to It! - 2004 Toyota Corolla
    By -

After having had a smaller SUV I thought I would enjoy a compact car. I love how the Corolla S looks, but inside I feel totally unsafe, too low to the ground and I cannot see out properly. This car has blind spots, and on the California freeways I feel very vulnerable. Driving is no longer a pleasure. It is scary! This car is fine for local around-the-town errands, but I could not imagine taking it on a long trip. Gas mileage is TERRIBLE! I expected about 32 - 35 MPG but I am lucky if I get 25 - 27 MPG. My small SUV did as well as that! I am going to sell this car and go back to a smaller SUV in which I have a better field of vision and do not feel so unsafe and vulnerable.
