Road tripping - 2004 Toyota 4Runner
By James Cal - October 28 - 2:00 amThis SUV is awesome. I have had mine for about 3 months now and I cant complain. Looked at the Tahoe, Yukon, and Trailblazer and nothing compares. What it lacks in towing power it makes up in handling. It rides like a car on the highway, and takes the off-road like a truck. I just got back from a camping trip, pulling a popup camper, without a problem. Even got 19mpg. If you need a huge SUV, this is not for you, but if you want an SUV that can maneuver the dirt path just as well as the Wal-Mart parking lot, look no further. Take a test drive; you will be hooked.

Great Truck - 2004 Toyota 4Runner
By mfjarvind69 - October 28 - 2:00 amThis has been a great vehicle. Its like the BMW advertisement where both the husband and wife want to drive the X5. We feel really safe with this vehicle and it handles incredibly well in turns for a live rear axle SUV.

awesome - 2004 Toyota 4Runner
By wv - October 17 - 10:00 amI looked high and low for the perfect combination of performance, reliability and comfort. The 2004 Sport Edition I found was loaded with all the options I desired. Ive had toyotas in the past and have never had any mechanical problems. I dumped my BMW 740iL unreliable dinosaur for this awesome offroad driving machine.

Great Build Quality Inside Out - 2004 Toyota 4Runner
By 4RunnerLovers - October 11 - 10:00 amPurchased this SUV on July 31, 04. Put 50miles on it and am touch from the first drive. Roomy leg room for front and rear seats, self-latch rear door, nice hood design, climate control, standard vehicle stability control, ABS, EBD, EBA, XREAS, neat engine cover, comfortable bucket seats for front and REAR seats too, perfect design headrest fit w ell for my body posture are all the standard feature that made me choose this SUV over Plain look, simple dashboard design Honda Pilot with less features. I dont see what editor comment about spongy brake pedal feeling. I love the brake feeling compared to accords (Stiffer feel). I think its perfect already.

2004 SR-5 V-8 - 2004 Toyota 4Runner
By Howard Dunlap - July 20 - 3:50 amNothing says reliability like Toyota. Its off-road capabilities are legendary. The ride is extremely capable. The fit and finish on the interior and exterior is outstanding. there is absolutely no creeking, squeeking or rattling of any kind. The power is great, although they increased the horses for 2005 to a reported 282 from 235. The torque went up 10 lbs. I didnt feel a big difference between the two when test driving. The only complant I have is the seat comfort and head room. The steering columb feels like its too far away causing fatigue in my arms. Also, because I am 6, my head is only 1 inch from the ceiling. But with its distinctive looks and preceeding reputation, who cares.

Sweetness on 4 large wheels - 2004 Toyota 4Runner
By RoWWst - July 17 - 10:00 amI traded in my 2002 Jeep Liberty on a new 4 runner SR5 with the V8 so I could more easily tow my boat. My old Liberty is a cattle car compared to my 4Runner. In virtually every way its a superior vehicle. Rides great and very quiet. The V8 is smooth as silk and gets better gas mileage than the v6 in my liberty did. Interior/exterior quality is as good as it gets off the assembly line. Ive yet to find a flaw. This thing drives exceptionally stable. Try an emergency avoidance maneuver in any other SUV may scare the heck out of you. The 4Runner handles this well and inspires confidence. You know where its gonna go. That was not the case for my old liberty
