Great, but beware of sulfur smell - 2004 Toyota 4Runner
By Pilli - September 22 - 10:00 amFun to drive. Enough power (quick response) to feel confortable passing cars in a bussy road; but you pay in gas. Good turning ratio for the size of the vehicle. Nice look inside and out.

4Runner is in a Class by itself - 2004 Toyota 4Runner
By fonz777 - September 22 - 10:00 am4Runner/SportV8/SunRoof/Alarm/RearSpoil er/CarpetCargoMat/DayTimeLights:$32000 I am a happy owner of a brand spanking new Metallic Silver 4Runner Sport V8. Initially interested in the V6, but the Consumer Reports remark about poor reliability in the V6 kept me away from it. The V8 rides very smooth Also, this is a GREAT looking truck! Even if I had $10 million in the bank I would still buy a 4Runner. Yeah, I do not like the X5 or Lexus or Acura or any other SUV Import that touts itself as Luxury. Most of them look like spiffed up mini-vans, hybrids or plain Jane SUVs. I love my 4Runner!

Quality SUV - 2004 Toyota 4Runner
By biglatka - August 10 - 10:00 amFeels and drives like a tough rugged vehicle that could handle most off road conditions yet on the paved roads is smooth driving, handles great and surefooted. Plenty of V6 power, smooth powertrain, and excellent brakes. This SUV gives one the feeling of power, comfort, and safety. Interior is great, seats very comfortable. Improvement areas: Remote key fob should be able to raise rear window as well as lower it, needs audio controls on the steering wheel. Rear door is difficult (heavy) to close. Better placement of gas tank filler door and hood release latches. No ashtray or lighter.

We are a Toyota family. - 2004 Toyota 4Runner
By Bill n Dewie - August 8 - 11:33 pmMy partner and I purchased this 4 Runner as a replacement to our 2004 Highlander. It is a great SUV and is much more substantial that the Highlander. We travel to Aspen often and it charges up Vail Pass without hesitation. What a great car!

By bsturner - July 30 - 10:00 amGreat vehicle. Plenty of space for glof clubs, bike, and kids. Rugged build, and classy styling. Music system could have been higher grade, but thats only downside. Overall a superb vehicle.

Great SUV!! - 2004 Toyota 4Runner
By Calidude - July 10 - 10:00 amThis SUV is fantastic! It looks great and the interior looks futuristic. They should make the rear window roll up with the keyless but I love this SUV! You cant beat the looks and the build quality. This SUV has great pickup too - its pretty quick. Stock Sound system is decent too.

2004 SR5 - 2004 Toyota 4Runner
By KK - July 9 - 5:36 pmThis is my first Toyota, owning mostly american cars/suvs in the past 30 years. I can say I am pleased with the 4runner overall, only having the most common complaint a loose driver seat. I even checked the 2005 and 2006 and its true, "they all do that". Just grab the drivers seat where your thigh would go and rock it back and forth. Toyota did replaced the seat, but had no change. I would buy this SUV again, but may lean towards the limited model or at least electric seats.

Luv My 4-Runner - 2004 Toyota 4Runner
By Bud Wiley - June 22 - 10:00 amFor 5 years I drove a Cadillac Seville. I really liked its pep and comfort. On the highway or in town, the 4-Runner Limited has it beat hands down plus I have the added feature of comfort in the National Forrests and on logging roads.

4runner - 2004 Toyota 4Runner
By gmilonas - June 22 - 10:00 amI like the performance of the 4runner compared to my Ford Explorer. The 3rd row seats are terrible. They are cheap looking and poorly designed. I dont use them anyway, however if someone intends to... they are intended for young children only.

I love my 4runner, worth every penny! - 2004 Toyota 4Runner
By Titan - May 28 - 10:00 amI thought my old 4runner was amazing, but the 2004 model is spectacular, gorgeous inside and out, performance youd expect from a sports car. I am more than thrilled, I love it!
