For 2006, the Scion xA gets a mild styling refresh that includes updated designs for the lower air intake, headlamps, taillamps, wheel covers and front grille. Inside, there is new seat fabric and the speedometer background is now white instead of last year's silver. The xA also receives a new steering wheel with audio controls, and the Pioneer audio system has a new head unit design and remote mini-jack port for portable music sources. Additionally, the xA offers dedicated Apple iPod connectivity, which delivers iPod display information and allows unit control and recharging through the audio system. Finally, the xA's horsepower rating drops from 108 to 103 due to new SAE testing procedures.

• The cool stuff costs extra, modest passing power with automatic transmission, no cruise control.

  My 2006 Scion xA is rattle-proof, very easy to drive, and has excellent fuel economy. I did 40 mpg on third tank of gas.

  The Scion xA is a perfect fit for me and is the only new car purchase I have not regreted. I beleive I have the best car on the market for the price I paid. This car looks so small from the outside but is very roomy on the inside. The car is so much fun to drive. I will keep this car for a very long time.

  My Scion xA is wonderful. Not only is it different and awesome to drive but the gas mileage is great. This car is perfect because it fits my personality. It is the only car I have seen that you can choose so many different accessories. I picked out everything down to the wheels and its great. I couldnt be happier with my Scion!

  I love my xa. It can be a little uncomfortable on 1400 mile trips but for the most part its uncomfortable. I get great gas mileage and the stereo is great. I only wish it had a little better looking dash and was a little faster. But what it lacks in power it makes up for in gas mileage.

  Being fussy, after my corolla station wagon, I was disappointed the Scion gave about the same mpg, with so much less interior space. But after a while the mpg improved, (although the space didnt.) On the road I get an easy 40 mpg. In the city, between 34 and 36. But tools that fit a corner of the Corolla, are enough to fill the whole back of the Scion, making it resemble a dumpster. On the other hand its nice to drive. The backhatch is practical. The cars prettier than the Yaris. And iths needed no repairs after 48,000 miles.

  This was my first new car. This car is soild/ dependable car. I have the oem 18inch wheels and rear stabilizer bar. I drve for a while without these and they made a huge improvement in ride and handling. 55xxx on it now....I will drive this car until it falls apart...If you know your buying a economy car, this is a perfect great sporty car. I am so happy I bought this car. I cant ask for much more.

  I am really pleased with the gas mileage, leg room, and power this little but very comfortable vehicle has. It has a very modern design and you cant beat the price.

  I went looking for a car for my 16 year old. I started looking at beaters and ended up with the Scion xA. We all piled in (four of us) for a test drive and I was hooked. For the money there is nothing equal in value and quality. Yes the Honda Fit and Nissan Versa, are great cars too but youll probably pay $2,000 or more for them. Resale values are high for Scions and its a Toyota. A comparable Corolla will cost your more. I like the ala carte options. Plus, the no haggle pricing is kind of nice too. It would be nice to have more power, but for its intended audience it has just enough. I must confess Im considering the xB and loading it up, and Im not its target market...Im 54 years old!

  I enjoy my xA. It has been great. Its gas mileage in town is anywhere from 27- 31. On the highway it gets 38-42. We just came back from Ohio and it averaged about 41 miles per gallon. it drives great and I love it very much.

  Fun car to drive, but not at night. - 2006 Scion xA

  I like this little car. I enjoy driving it, but not at night. It feels weird driving at night because you dont see the steering that well with the dark interior.
