This Year's Model Updates:

The Vibe is an all-new model in Pontiac's lineup designed to combine the best attributes of an SUV, a station wagon and a small van. Thankfully, the result is rather attractive and hip, not to mention utilitarian.

Pros:
  • Crisp handling, unique features, utilitarian design.

  • Best Car Ive ever owned - 2003 Pontiac Vibe

I absolutely loved this car. I bought it used a little over 2 years ago. It is very spacious inside - I am 6 tall and my husband is 61" and there is plenty of room without feeling cramped. This car has been extremely reliable and awesome on gas. I averaged about 28-29 mpg, city. Put me on a highway and I was always well above 30. This car has also proved itself to be very safe and solidly built. My car was recently totaled (someone pulled out in front of us while we were going 55 mph). The damage from the crash did not go past the front door, and we all walked away unharmed. I will be replacing it with another Vibe shortly

I dont have a family, but my first fixer upper home. I havent found anything yet that I cant get into it. I have the moon and tunes package which is great around town and on the road. The car is comfortable on long trips and my mileage is 29 city and 33 highway. I think thats because my average speed is 85 MPH on the highway. Love this car!

  • Celica SUV - 2003 Pontiac Vibe

Check out the wheelbases of the Toyota Corolla, Celica, Matrix and Vibe. Surprise! They are all 102.4 inches exactly. The engines are the same size and HP rating, the Vibe is a Celica platform-mini SUV. Great seats and room, Im 6-03 240 # and this thing is comfy even on 300 mile jaunts, getting 30 mpg or better the whole way. If you can afford it, get the moonroof and CD player. Sum up:Very handy Beach Buggy with the room of a SUV and the mpg of a Corolla!! Price paid:$15,800 with AT and M/T package and keyless entry. Thanks GM for the $2000 cash back! BTW, looks more sporty/better seats than the Matrix.

  • Five years and going strong - 2003 Pontiac Vibe

Purchased new in Dec, 2002, I have had vehicle for over five years. Decided to look at new vehicles to trade in. ended up looking at the new Vibe along with many others brands. Really like the new Vibe, but decided to keep what I have even though the new vibe has a more powerful engine.

  • 93,000 Miles and no major issues - 2003 Pontiac Vibe

We bought our Vibe 3 years ago and it still looks and runs great. We traded in an SUV to save on gas money. The savings has been great. We get around 30 mpg no matter where we drive. We have owned the car from 36,000 to 93,000 miles and have only had to replace the alternator, outside of your normal tires and brake replacements.

  • utility can be fun - 2003 Pontiac Vibe

For a utility type vehicle when equiped with the 17 inch wheel package you cant believe the cornering ability. My vibe has the standard suspension but the summer only tires,do not even try to use them in the snow. Winter tires with new rims work great in the snow....Wisconsin. Two years and no problems with the Vibe.

Purchased my Vibe GT new, it now has 74,200 miles on it after owning it for almost 6 years. Its always been great on gas (I currently average about 26 mpg), big on room, and fun to drive. Want a Toyota Celica GTS with dirt cheap insurance and way more room? Get an 03 Vibe GT, they share the same drivetrain. Versatility and endurance are defined by this car. I work in outside sales and drive all day every day for my job. Never had any problems with mine. Changed the tires, brakes, and oil and thats all. Had a speaker go bad in the passenger side front door that was replaced under warranty. No moonroof leaks after 6 years. Required the least maintenance of any car I ever owned.

  • 165,000 miles and still going strong. - 2003 Pontiac Vibe

I purchased my 2003 Pontiac Vibe when they first came out brand new. I have had no major problems with it. I have done regular oil changes. The only thing I have had to repalce were tires. This cars has been great. It is comfortable and has a sleek look. Continue to get comments on the car. People ask how many miles it has and when I tell them they say that is awesome. I love this car. It has been the best car i ever had.
