Overview & Reviews
Crew cab models receive a standard power up/down rear window with defroster, while all models get a tailgate with dampened assist. Other changes include new active head restraints for the driver and front passenger, new badging on the front doors and a unique wheel finish for SE models. The LE receives brushed aluminum interior trim accents and a leather-appointed bench seat is available in place of the buckets. The popular spray-in bedliner is now available as a stand-alone option on the XE.
- One of the best drivetrains in its class, smooth-riding suspension, spacious and functional cabin, innovative design features, available stability control and side airbags.
- Limited drivetrain and body style choices, no heavy-duty models, burly exhaust note can get annoying on long drives.

watch out now... - 2005 Nissan Titan
By josh - January 24 - 3:00 pmDriving on a trip yesterday, I saw an F-150 with a decal of the "Bad Calvin" doing what he does best on the word "Imports" Lets just say I drove up next to it, smiled, and blew by and far away from the Ford. Nissan has got it right- watch out Ford and Chevy. This truck is comfy (SE with all options) as well as rugged. We travel all the time, and love it. Plenty of room, even in the King cab, and even with our 2 100 lb dogs riding in the back. (Folding up seats back there kick arse) Best bang for your buck without a question- gas mileage... well, its a truck, but it does do better than all of the others. Side by side comparisions- most room, best performace, and best price.

By ROBERT - January 14 - 3:53 amI have 14,000 miles and now having brakes problems-nissan knows about it, nissan saying brakes are under size for truck and nissan are making all new parts for the truck--if you are having problems-feeling a shaking when braking just go to your nissan dealer and they will put you on a list--to do the job they need the truck for two days. All new rotors, pads, etc. Are installed--nissan covers everything.

Garys Nissan Titan - 2005 Nissan Titan
By Gary L - December 25 - 1:26 amThe Titans power is great.Trans is smooth. Passengers in the rear gets a bit choppy and jiggly on rough highways.Minor wind noisy above 75mph. The brakes feel very smooshy and unprecise but very powerful if enough force is applied.Short rear passengers(58") keeps on wrestling with the seat belts because of no height adjustments.Cheap plastics around cabin makes rattling noises when encountered with pot holes. The large storage bin can hold lots of stuff, but hard objects tend to make knocking noises when the truck encounters pot holes.Lack of height and lumbar adjustments make long trips uncomfortable.Lack of power mirrors is inconvenient. The bed is very short!

Excellent truck - 2005 Nissan Titan
By Jeff S. - December 20 - 11:10 amI purchased this to haul our 4 horse trailer since the standard iterations of the domestic vehicles were not even close towing wise. This truck has exceeded my expectations!! It is able to tow 7500 pounds without a problem. The ride is like a luxury car and the cabin is super quiet. I am looking now at buying another car and they are so loud compared to this thing. It has the most comfortable cab I have been in. The downside is that the brakes did need to be replaced under warranty. The brakes could also be a little more powerful. I see about 15 mpg overall and have seen 17.6 mpg HWY.

good truck but has its problems - 2005 Nissan Titan
By Good Truck - December 6 - 7:46 amI have 33,000 mi. on the truck. The radiator was replaced, the transfer case was replaced and now i have to have the exhaust replaced. There is a service bulletin for the squeeky passenger seat which will be covered under warranty.I also had the 4wd symbol on the dash dissappear and had no 4wd.I had to pull over and shut the truck off and the problem cleared.Overall with all the aggravation this rig has given me i still like it. I think they all have there problems. From my opinion i think the truck is a good value.Just hope that you get a good 1.

1st and LAST NISSAN! - 2005 Nissan Titan
By 1st and LAST NISSAN - December 3 - 10:30 pmI agree with the person who wrote, "the list of things that didnt go wrong would be shorter." this truck and Nissan corp usa can take this truck and shove it! These people charged me for a fuel-pump, oil/spark-plug change, ipdm, and a mass-air-flow-sensor, as well as a throttle position-sensor, to the tune of $6300.00, when all that was wrong at the time was a loose wire on the #2"mini-super-coil". (which they gladly fixed for free) Kraft Nissan in Tallahassee, Florida is one dealer you should pass up. I was told by Nissan corp. USA and Kraft Nissan that they had the best techs and they were right and I was wrong. I hope that $6300.00 gets them through this rough economy, they are gonna need it!
