This Year's Model Updates:

Crew cab models receive a standard power up/down rear window with defroster, while all models get a tailgate with dampened assist. Other changes include new active head restraints for the driver and front passenger, new badging on the front doors and a unique wheel finish for SE models. The LE receives brushed aluminum interior trim accents and a leather-appointed bench seat is available in place of the buckets. The popular spray-in bedliner is now available as a stand-alone option on the XE.

Pros:
  • One of the best drivetrains in its class, smooth-riding suspension, spacious and functional cabin, innovative design features, available stability control and side airbags.
Cons:
  • Limited drivetrain and body style choices, no heavy-duty models, burly exhaust note can get annoying on long drives.

I bought my 2005 Titan in january and love driving it. No other truck can match up to it superior capablities and options. For and 18 y/o a $35,000 truck was a little high. My dealership gave me the worst buying experience but i really wanted the truck. The truck has a few minor discrpences but oveall the best bang for your buck. No other trucks are even made with navigation. Ford or Chevy trucks do not even make them even in their Denalis or escalades. Any chevy or ford truck you put up next to the titan will be more expensive and only be the base model but Nissan listened to the consumers and made the luxury truck affordable. If anyone has figured out how the make the nav play DVDs email-

Im not someone who bought this truck a month ago and is about to gush about its reliability (whats with those reviewers anyway?) Purchased this truck 3.5 years ago, have put 50k KM mountain town driving on it. Only issue Ive run in to is warping brake rotors, easily solved with HD brakes. The paint is nothing to phone home about, but definitely not sub par. Hauls a sled like its not even there and shreds the highway between Whis and Van as fast as youd ever want to. Expected a lot, and it has exceeded my expectations. Design/Layout are my favorite as well. 66" box is awesome, but cab is still very spacious and overall truck is very nimble. America still makes a great truck.

I love that I purchased this truck. Has good power good looks and is a very comfortable riding vehicle. Shimmies a little when going over very rough roads or roads with a lot of potholes. Thats the only complaint from me. It had only 40,000 miles on it when I bought it and it still looks new in and outside. Love it!

  • Best truck on the market - 2005 Nissan Titan

I have put this vehicle through hell and back, and have never had an issue. From reading on the internet you may think this truck is unreliable, however, I drive my truck harder then 95% or people, and I have never been stranded, nor has the truck had to visit the dealer. Its the most athletic and fun truck to drive on the market. Once youve owned one, you will understand, "its a Titan thing"

Vehicle is solid and to this point very dependable. Everything works as advertised. I have pulled a trailer and load that was over the 9400 pound limit with no problem. Very impressive.

  • worst truck ive bought - 2005 Nissan Titan

worst truck i have bought by far. 2nd owner of 73k miles. drove it about 5k miles before putting over $5,000 in repairs into it, first problem was my drive shaft came out of my rear axle and transfer case. new axle and transfer case rebuild.. then my ECM went out, it was a safety recall, but nissan refused to pay for damages and my recall. i will not recommend this truck to anyone. then i needed a whole new front suspension (ball joints, shocks and springs) cause they were old and bad. but that comes with age.

  • 2005 Titan: Quality is now there - 2005 Nissan Titan
    By -

With 1000 miles on Feb 05 build date CC LE 4WD fully loaded (everything possible) Titan, Im happy to report I have had perfect quality and performance so far. None of the well- known initial quality glitches have shown up, and my Feb 05 truck was cleared of all known TSBs except the "permanent" brake fix, which is still reported to be a couple of months away. Mileage is not good, but already better than the Denali AWD it replaced, or its stablemate Audi S6. DVD, Satellite radio, Nav., RF radio all perform perfectly. Time and more miles may yet tell a different story, but as of now I can assure 05 buyers that Ghosne and the Nissan team appear have cleaned up the situation completely.Go for it.

  • Love It! - 2005 Nissan Titan

The best truck on the market. Drove them all and this is clearly the pace- setter. Handles very crisply and I love the torque at low RPMs. I also enjoy the looks you get around town.

  • It does its job - 2005 Nissan Titan

It does its job. Obviously the gas mileage is insane but its a huge truck. Everyone who sees it says they love it. I love it too but there are are many things I would change. Has a lack of brakes.
