This Year's Model Updates:

SE models now include a manual-shift mode for the CVT, and satellite radio pre-wiring is standard on all models. The standard driver seat now features 10-way power adjustment.

Pros:
  • Excellent handling, comfortable and practical interior, unique styling inside and out, smooth and powerful engine.
Cons:
  • Continuously variable transmission detracts from performance, SE model rides harshly, no third-row seat, gets pricey with options.

  • Not your mothers Nissan... - 2004 Nissan Murano

I say this because my own mother has a 1994 Maxima which hasnt had near the amount of problems that my 2004 Murano has had. Power seat died once, visor stopped staying up, and I have been to the dealer 3 times to fix a rattle in the door, an issue which has a service bulletin out for it. And yet, they have been unable to fix it. Loved the vehicle when I first bought it, but have started to hate it!

Tight, solid vehicle. I bought the Sunlit Copper model and there isnt a day that goes by that someone doesnt stop me and ask what it is or compliment me on how it looks! I LOVE THIS SUV! Bose stereo is the icing on the cake! Rides like a dream and handles better than most cars Ive had or driven, which are many. BMW X5 was my first choice, but for the money, I would buy a Murano any day!

My murano has the quality that I had gotten use to in Nissans and think they had gotten away from in the late 90s. Nice to see the quality back! You do have to get use to the transmission......Its different! Not a bad thing...Just Different!!

  • I love this car - 2004 Nissan Murano

This thing is a rocket. Smooth to drive, no trans-shifting, and quick to accelerate makes my Murano a pleasure to own. Hilander, Pilot, Accura all looked like they were cut from the same box shape. Back seat is roomy for 2 adults or 3 kids. Cargo area is plenty big for trips to the store or vacations. Price for leather, sunroof, extras was under $30,000. How can you beat this cost to fun ratio?

  • A Very Satisfied Owner - 2004 Nissan Murano

This vehicle is the most comfortable and satisfying to drive of any of my recent cars, which included a 2002 BMW 330Ci, a 2002 Honda Odyssy and a 2000 Acura TL. Perhaps it suits me because although my bones are old I still enjoy a good drive.

BMW X-5 performance, Porsche Cayenne looks, and all for a fraction of the price...way to go Nissan! This SUV crossover smells and looks like success. The CVT transmission may lack 0 to 60 in 4.5 seconds, but I was not buying a sportscar. I wanted comfort and practicality and if this is what you seek, you will love this vehicle as I do. By far, this was the best car decision I ever made. Douglas Nissan in Huntington Beach made this an awesome car buying experience and I cant say enough about the SE AWD Murano!

  • The Best - 2004 Nissan Murano

Compared to the other hybrid SUVs the Murano has smoother flowing lines. Allowing the colors to fit the model more so than the other SUVs. Giving the Murano Pazzazz and style turning heads every where we go. Thats why I picked Sunset Copper.

  • I settled for a Nissan Murano - 2004 Nissan Murano
    By -

When my 1997 Chrysler Town and country Van went into self destruct cycle I searched for a new car. I wanted something smaller, with awd and comfortable. I ended up settling for a 2004 Nissan Murano. I am extremely pleased with every aspect of the car except the poor fuel milage. The car is very comfortable, handles well, is a pleasure to drive but only gets around 12 mpg in local driving. On a long trip I can get up to 23 mpg but most of my driving is local.
