Overview & Reviews
SE models now include a manual-shift mode for the CVT, and satellite radio pre-wiring is standard on all models. The standard driver seat now features 10-way power adjustment.
- Excellent handling, comfortable and practical interior, unique styling inside and out, smooth and powerful engine.
- Continuously variable transmission detracts from performance, SE model rides harshly, no third-row seat, gets pricey with options.

My "new" baby - 2004 Nissan Murano
By Twin620 - December 22 - 10:00 amI just got my Morano in July. I absolutely adore it! Its fun to drive, handles amazingly and rides extremely smooth. It has great acceleration when getting on the highway. The ONLY negative thing I can say about it is the fuel economy. I have been getting approximately 16.5 MPG. Id been hoping for better gas mileage, but I truly love it and wouldnt hesitate to buy another one!

2004 Nissan Murano - 2004 Nissan Murano
By Joyce - December 11 - 7:30 amSafety issues with this car. Towed twice for different problems. The transmission had to be replaced. Had to replace front wheel bearings. The alternator bracket broke and split the alternator cable (this one year after an alternator recall).

Go MO - 2004 Nissan Murano
By Elliotgb - November 15 - 10:00 amI traded in a boxy 1993 Jeep Grand Cherokee for the MO. I prefer the great styling and performance of the Murano over the Jeep anyday. Id say the expected future reliability should be above average. Fun to drive and look at, responsive. Gas mileage could be better, though.

Designed for short term fun, BEWARE of Maintenance cost - 2004 Nissan Murano
By rayman3000 - November 8 - 6:02 amI will be brief. This vehicle is fun to drive no doubt. Once you get in for a test drive, you will buy this vehicle cos its so much fun to drive. The bad news is the cost of maintenance. You will spend a lot of time repairing this vehicle. Once it leaves the repair shop, do not ride this vehicle unless you are trying to know if the problems has been repaired or you are taking a new buyer on a test drive. Fail to heed my warning and you will fall in love with this vehicle again. Its like a woman you love, but you cant stand her naughty behavior. Buyers be warned. Stay away from her unless you have deep pockets. issues i have suffered: Wheel bearings (front right and back left), diffe

2004 Nissan Murano Review - 2004 Nissan Murano
By M W Ppool - October 9 - 10:00 amAfter looking at Lexus and BMW (crossover SUVs and sedans) to replace my old SUV, I became intrigued by the new Nissan Maxima. I was close to buying one when I mentioned to the salesperson that I was still debating going with an SUV, but really wanted more comfort and power. They steered me to the Murano and I have been in love ever since. The styling, interior design and comfort are exceptional, while the handling and acceleration make driving a pleasure. Even my two college age sons (one has a 4WD Ford F150 and the other a Honda Accord coupe) are very much enamored of my new Murano and are constantly "borrowing" it.

Had to have this car and Im glad I do! - 2004 Nissan Murano
By Rebeccahoo.com - September 17 - 11:43 pmI love this car - its not so massive as some of the larger SUVs, but its high enough to be able to have a good view of traffic and has enough inside room to transport lots of different items. The only drawback is the fuel economy. When I purchased the vehicle, I was getting about 19 or so m.p.g., however, ever since my alternator was replaced in the recall (I know, it isnt supposed to have anything to do with m.p.g.), my mileage has gone down to around 17 m.p.g. and my driving habits havent changed. I had my 15,000 mile service completed - no change!
