Although it maintains much of its chassis architecture, the 2010 Mazda 3 is otherwise an all-new car. Highlights include revised exterior styling, improved fuel economy and power, a more modern interior design and new luxury-oriented features.

Pros:
  • Athletic handling and performance, high-end interior, unparalleled available luxury features, available hatchback utility.
Cons:
  • Ride may be too firm for some, interior and trunk not as large as those of competitors.

  • Great Feel, Fun to Drive - minor nuances - 2010 Mazda Mazda3

Have the car 2 weeks...3i-Touring with sunroof and Bose stereo. Sunroof was a must...too much AC at work. Starting to enjoy stereo. Enjoying use of trans manual mode...merging at on-ramps, especially clover leafs. One real tank of gas_30.9 mpg mostly hwy at 75. Car is fun to drive...as much as work commute allows. Driven on local curvy, country roads, handling was great and took turns well... ZoomZoom is a good description. Purchased because of fun styling and driving...compared with 9 other vehicles (compact and midsize)...replaced a 7-yr old, 6cyl GM. MPG may not match hybrid, diesel or Civic/Corolla...but FUN to drive!! "Punch down" acceleration not my old 6cyl...but knew it going in.

Wanted to get the Mazdaspeed3, but will be giving this to my daughter in a couple years...there went the Speed3. Great econ car with fantastic interior detail: Soft touch dash, great displays (except info display), & good seats. Even if youre budget minded, opt for the Bose system...regular stereo not up to par. Car is a blast to drive on the twisties, but not quite fast enough to get you in trouble...but plenty of power for fun. City MPG not up to other compacts, but the fun factor more than makes up for it. Fold down the rear seats, and you got plenty of room for hauling everyday items. Mini Cooper will handle a bit better, but cost a bundle more with less room. Best bang for $ out.

This car has the highest in its class for safety, quality and reliability. This is my 4th Mazda, and i will continue to be a member of the Mazda family. The smoothness of the transmission, excellent fuel economy. Very Sporty, plenty of power out of the 2.0L MZR 4 Cylinder engine with 148 hp. Easy to get up and go in traffic. With small children safety is key, and this beat the CIVIC and COROLLA hands down. A++ Mazda! Dont compare apples to oranges, dont compare the Mazda price to a Honda or Toyota, You get a lot more than you pay for with a Mazda, especially this 3. So if youre looking to buy one, stop thinking about it, BUY IT

  • Poor gas mileage - 2010 Mazda Mazda3

Just bought the Mazda 3. It is fun to drive. BUT I am very disappointed with the gas mileage. I am getting only 23.8 miles to the gallon- highway/around town combo. I am taking it in to see if theres a problem.

  • My second awesome mazda 3 ! - 2010 Mazda Mazda3

I love this mazda 3! I bought a 2007 mazda3 in 07 and now I bought a 2010 mazda3 S grand touring this year. I love everything about it, the s gt comes with everything a BMW has. Power seats, heated seats, power locks, windows, rain sensor, sun roof, Bose sound, blue tooth for phone and ipod, aux port, leather seats, 2.5l 4 cylinder that will kick any 4 cylinder in its category. Stability and traction control are awesome in the snow and for high speeds! Never had any problems owning my 07 for 3 years and never had a problem with my new 2010, now with 14,000 miles on it. I get 25 mpg average and i drive like crazy person lol. This car does curves like a champ and responds really well!

  • Love the car - 2010 Mazda Mazda3

This is the first time that I have ever owned a Mazda, and so far I absolutely love my Mazda3 S Sport. There are only two things that I am disappointed with. I think with this vehicle there is ground noise, so it is not as insulated as I would like, and the other is I think that ALL cars should be made to have automatic lights that come on (daytime running) and then evening lights. So it is a little nosier then I would like, but certainly not enough that I dont like the car. It is fun, sporty, and I love driving it. Like their logo suggests: zoom-zoom

  • best in class - 2010 Mazda Mazda3

After consider all the different entry level sedans i decided on getting the Mazda 3S, and i couldnt be happier. The car is very responsive, and the suspension is tight like a tiger. Fuel economy could be a little better, but 20mpg in the city is not bad. The lights are bright, and the interior is very ergonomic and roomy. Looks and drives like a car worth 10k more.

  • Unreal ride - 2010 Mazda Mazda3

I just bought this car got a great deal, nothing down, 1 free months lease payment, paying 41 months $225 lease, that is it my friends, gonna drive it for 3.5 years and buy it for $9.5K I had no idea how to drive stick and had a friend teach me less than a week, this car is the real deal for the price. The only thing that sucks is no power locks, and the HORN. This car rocks baby! ZOOM ZOOM

  • Great car, very satisfied - 2010 Mazda Mazda3

Well I was looking for a new car, and I looked at at least 15 cars in the $14k-18k segment. I happened upon this little beauty and am very happy. I have the 2.0L iTouring model, and have had it for about a month. Its got about 2100 miles on it, at first I was getting 33- 34mpg, but after breaking it in some, I have got 37mpg on my last 2 fill-ups. Its very fun and sporty to drive, I put the performance at 8, because even though its faster than anything Ive previously owned, Im not naive enough to think it can outpower some of the more expensive vehicles out there on the road, although this thing has PLENTY of pep, believe you me.

I purchased the 2010 model 3 after test driving the 2010 Corolla. I drove a 2003 Corolla for seven years and was impressed with Toyota and was prepared to buy another until I compared the Mazda 3 and the Corolla. The Mazda 3 is more stylish and has a better quality interior by far than the Corolla. The Mazda 3 has very good handling and pick up and fit and finish is excellent. The sporty suspension provides for a rather stiff ride but is not a major problem. More road noise than I am used to but again, not a major problem. It is too early for me to comment on reliability. I personally find the seats somewhat uncomfortable for anything other than very short trips.
