This Year's Model Updates:

Although it maintains much of its chassis architecture, the 2010 Mazda 3 is otherwise an all-new car. Highlights include revised exterior styling, improved fuel economy and power, a more modern interior design and new luxury-oriented features.

Pros:
  • Athletic handling and performance, high-end interior, unparalleled available luxury features, available hatchback utility.
Cons:
  • Ride may be too firm for some, interior and trunk not as large as those of competitors.

  • Excellent car - 2010 Mazda Mazda3

Was planning on using our van on vacation when it blew a transmission seal. Loaded four adults (Im 64", 230lbs) and a trunk load of gear and headed to the Adirondack Mountains. Brand new car with less than 50 miles on it, averaged 36mpg over 850 miles with AC on. No problem on the hills, even though loaded. Handles great, more comfortable seats than our Ford van. Tried a 2009 Honda Fit, but the Mazda has more power, handles, better, feels more solid and gets great gas mileage.

Major upgrade from 2007 Chevy Aveo. Far more powerful and nimble. All the bells and whistles. Two months after having it still very satisfied. One thing I thought of is how much safer I am and everyone else in this compared to my previous car or the SUV I used to drive. You can brake and accelerate quicker, and there is minimal body roll. You are in control of this car, whereas the SUV you are along for the ride. Just think of those Trucks and SUVs we all have to drive next to that need so much more room to stop and have to slow to a crawl to turn. This is a great vehicle. Great Job Mazda!

  • Awesome car - couldnt ask for more! - 2010 Mazda Mazda3

Coming from an Expedition, the 2010 Mazda 3 has opened my eyes to a completely new world of driving. This car is so much fun to drive! It literally has everything: Navigation, heated seats, HID headlights, sirius radio, keyless entry/ignition, good gas mileage (Im getting ~28 mpg currently), bluetooth, and much more that Im forgetting. I literally love this car and am so glad I went with it. Im 64 260 lbs, and I fit in this car like a glove (surprisingly!). I would recommend this car to anyone. It has the features of a high end luxury car with a Honda Civic price tag. Get the Mazda 3, you wont be disappointed. Note: I purchased the 5 door Mazda 3 Sport Grand Touring - not 4 dr

  • First New Car - 2010 Mazda Mazda3

I purchased this car about 4 months ago and so far I absolutely love it. When I get in I feel like Im slipping into a glove which will do what I want when I ask it to. All of the features combined just make it a joy to drive while also very relaxing. You can really tell this is a 2010 vehicle - everything just seems well thought out, well designed, well implemented, and high quality. If I were to do it over again though Id probably get the hatchback for slightly better utility since its a big change going from owning a pickup to a compact sedan.

  • This wasnt written just after purchased - 2010 Mazda Mazda3

Unlike most reviews that are written just after the car was purchased and are 100% positive because you are so excited, this one is being written four months after purchase, after you get to know the car and its positives and negatives. Hope it helps you. After driving BMW 3 series cars since 1982 I have to say Im overall impressed with my Mazda 3 hatchback. It beats my old, aging, E36 Bimmer hands down. The suspension is downright TIGHT, the control is superb. Acceleration with my 6 speed manual transmission is super quick. To me the turbo is overkill.

Well when I first got this car I was super excited, because I got a great deal and I was sick of driving my corolla for the past 7 years before that. Everything was fine first couple of month and then things started to annoy me. I started having very bad condensation problem on the inside of the car. Went to multiple dealerships and they couldnt fix the problem they suggested I always keep my AC on which i thought was stupid. Next thing is the squeeky breaks as well as my squeeky driver seat when in a certain position. Last thing was I had to replecase one of the belts after 28k and it wasnt covered by warranty i had to dish out $120.

  • So much better then a Honda Civic - 2010 Mazda Mazda3
    By -

I was a loyal honda civic fan but when I was shopping for a new car I had to look around. After extensive test drives and comparisons of fuel economy, price, reviews and resale value (Im an MBA student so I had a little too much fun with it). Anyways, hands down the Mazda3 was way ahead of the game... then I drove it- and fell in love. It drives like a sports car, it makes driving fun. It gets the same mpg as a Honda Civic but costs less. Ive put about 2K in 2 months on it and I have no complaints at all. Really its a great car and a great value.

  • The best Mazda yet - 2010 Mazda Mazda3

I am partial to Mazda. I have owned to many cars from American to Japanese. I love cars. This is my 4th Mazda. I love everything about it. My husband loves it to which is surprising. It handles real well and has enough pick up. As far as gas goes I havent had it long enough to make a comment on that yet. The tech package is great. I have children and they have no problem with the room in the back seat neither do I. I always sit in the back to see where my knees are. I am 56" and i was comfortable back there. The trunk has good space to. I like the orange inside it lights up the dash rather well. The whole layout is perfect to me. I would recommend this car. you get alot for your money.

  • Fun on a budget - 2010 Mazda Mazda3

After five years of driving an F-150 I love driving and filling up our new Mazda 3. We wanted to replace the truck with an economy vehicle that is also fun to drive. So far we have no complaints.

  • Impressive performance/quality for price - 2010 Mazda Mazda3
    By -

Im yet another reviewer coming out of a BMW 3 series and into the Mazda 3. Im stunned to say that this car is just as much fun to drive as my 325i was. Sure, its not as quiet (the 3s has more tire noise on the highway) and doesnt have all the extra luxuries my BMW had. With that said, the Mazda 3 is a far better value. Its truly BMW-like in performance and offers many options that you normally find only in higher price points-like the automatic rain-sensing wipers my BMW had. If youre someone who enjoys driving, the 3 is light on its feet, hugs corners, has plenty of power for its size and great stopping power. With all that and exceptional interior quality, its the one to buy
