Okay, I have to say I like the power of the 5-Speed. I think for the money you cant beat it.

I have had my 3S just over a month. I love it. It is the best sub-compact car I have looked at, priced, and driven. It handles like a BMW 3- series minus the rear drive. I see them all around town, but it never fails, people still stare at my car. It is very sexy, and great to drive.

  • Love it - except the gas cap - 2004 Mazda Mazda3

It is a good little commuter car, fun to drive and good gas mileage. But I am a little dissapointed with the problems associated with gas cap and the vapor capture system. At less than 1000 miles, the check engine light came on. They said I did not tighten the gas cap enough. I had been warned by the salesman to tighten the gas cap. The light came on again same week I got it back. They kept it a week (with a free loaner car-but I wanted my new car back). They replace the gas cap. When that didntwork, they replaced a valve (one they had never replaced before-that made me feel good). Just after 2000 miles, back again-need to tighten gas cap. This is very annoying.

  • What a lemon!!! - 2004 Mazda Mazda3

Aside from the excellent engine and nice features, the problems I have had outweigh the positives by a lot. In the winter when it was really cold, the heater only marginally works, now in the summer I find that the A/C is only mediocre as well. After bringing it to the dealership multiple times, they insist that it is fine and within the normal range. And after only 10,000 miles they had to replace the transmission. I had it in for two oil changes previous to this and they never realized that transmission fluid was low. When they took the transmission out the fluid was almost gone and it was burnt. Thank god for warranties.

This car reminds me of the BMW2002 when it came out x years ago. Modern, stylish, latest tech, ex. performance, reliability, economy. 90% of you have no clue what I mean. Anyway, the only other seriously considered was a VW Jetta, but it was 2.5K more; only 115 hp, made in Mexico and plain looks dated. Corolla too dull; Honda same- same; Nissan not in the game at this price.

I love my car. Its white with a spoiler and a sports package is a must. Bigger rims make the difference. Its so reliable and good for gas! Rated number 9 by Edmonds. No one has it yet, so I dont feel like I own a civic & 900 others do too! Being orginal is better.

  • Pretty good overall - 2004 Mazda Mazda3

I drove the Toyota Prius, Matrix, and Subaru Outback. This car had the least number of design flaws. Many great features available at a reasonable price. Seats are too hard. I love the telescoping steering wheel and the controls on the steering wheel. Lots of storage - you should see the glove box! The looks are great. People tell me how cool it looks.

  • Amazing Buy - 2004 Mazda Mazda3

I bought the M3i to replace a 96 Honda Accord EX. Its faster, more frugal, and handles better than the Accord, for $4K less than what I paid for the Accord in 96. Its quiet and solid though not as smooth as the Accord. It has many more features than the Accord had, including side curtain airbags, 6- disc CD changer, Tilt/telescoping wheel, steering wheel mounted radio controls. I test drove other compact cars before purchasing the M3i. I believe the M3i is the best in its class.

So I had the chance to test drive the car and automatically fell in love with it! Great Car, Great Dive, looks much more expensive than what it is!!! MAZDA DID A GREAT JOB!!!!
