Overview & Reviews
The Mazda 3 is an all-new economy sedan and hatchback that replaces the Protege in Mazda's lineup.
- Fun-to-drive character, stylish interior design, strong engines, hatchback utility.
- Ride might be too stiff for some, a few ergonomic quirks, tight rear legroom.

Watchout!!!! The Mazda3 is a Cut Above - 2004 Mazda Mazda3
By greg jackson - March 23 - 2:00 amThe smooth, quiet 2.3l engine along with almost no road noise is amazing in this class car. The interior quality and design belongs in a far more expensive car. The 3 is much faster than it feels like. You look at the speedometer and your 20 mph over the speed limit. First gear (automatic) with your foot down just a little and your gone. Wonderful handling car.

The alternate to my Corvette - 2004 Mazda Mazda3
By Larry - March 19 - 8:36 amI love driving a Corvette on the weekend, but the Mazda 3 makes my 80 mile workday commute more than enjoyable. Over the years, Ive also owned an RX-7 and a Protege, and this Mazda is another winner. My 5 speed wagon has leather, sunroof and 6 CD player, and no problems to report at 80K. Excellent car and looking to replace it with either the MX-5 or a Mazdaspeed 3.

I almost bought a Matrix too - 2004 Mazda Mazda3
By Tom Waits - March 11 - 10:00 amThe interior is better than anything else in its class. The engine has plenty of power, and still good mileage. The base model of the 5 door is packed with standard features like cruise, tilt, 17 inch wheels, and CD. The only thing I liked better in the Toyota Matrix was rear seat leg room, and its slightly cheaper.

The best ever - 2004 Mazda Mazda3
By Frank Ortiz - March 11 - 10:00 amInterior & exterior design Mazda did what every cool person has been doing to their cars for year, You really have to try really hard to make the Mazda 3S look better than it already looks. These guys are genius

Best Under 20K ever & better, some over - 2004 Mazda Mazda3
By T & D H. - March 6 - 10:00 amWe are approaching 3 weeks of ownership and while we only have about 450 miles on the car. Its a blast to drive and great for different sizes of drivers. Im 6"+ & she is 5"2. Were both comfortable driving the car. Feels more like a BMW 3 series or an Acura TSX other than a bit of wind noise. Great road feel without being harsh. 5 speed is great! Plus, it doesnt look like everybody elses car on the road here in So. Cal. We didnt want to be one of the many Honda and Toyota Clones on the road. Mazda did this one RIGHT! A lot of thought went into how this car is put together.

Excellent! - 2004 Mazda Mazda3
By M3LoVeR1 - March 6 - 10:00 amThis car runs very nicely! Handling is very responsive and the looks are just very appealing! It is very hard not to stare at it all day long. The interior is spacious too, with lots of legroom and headroom, and the layout of the interior center console is beautiful!

Great little sports sedan - 2004 Mazda Mazda3
By M3Believer - February 2 - 2:00 amIve always been a muscle car and truck guy but after living in England for 4 years I learned to appreciate other kinds of vehicle. And the Mazda3 is one. Its fun, comfortable, quick, and feels more expensive than it is. The engine pulls hard for a 4 banger and is smooth as butter up to the redline. The 5spd has a short throw and you never have a problem finding the right gear. Seats are firm, yet supportive and the dash is beautiful. The best out there in its class. And I know, Ive driven them all. Love this car. But remember kids, just say NO to autos. This is a drivers car. Cant wait for aftermarket.

nice car - 2004 Mazda Mazda3
By silverwilson - February 2 - 2:00 amThe Mazda 3 is a very comfortable, exciting car. This car is a step ahead in design and offers the quiet smooth ride, usually found in more expensive luxury cars. The buying experience was smooth. I recommend getting several quotes and having the deal nearly done online. Then go into the dealership and sign the paperwork.
