Overview & Reviews
The Mazda 3 is an all-new economy sedan and hatchback that replaces the Protege in Mazda's lineup.
- Fun-to-drive character, stylish interior design, strong engines, hatchback utility.
- Ride might be too stiff for some, a few ergonomic quirks, tight rear legroom.

By JBergson - April 28 - 2:00 amThis car is everything I expected and more. I got the thing loaded for 20k. Try finding all this in another car for the same price. No way! This car is incredible.

the mazda 3 - 2004 Mazda Mazda3
By kellyw - April 28 - 2:00 amI have really done my homework on all the cars in this market and price range and by far the Mazda 3 out classes them all. For over all value and options, the choice is clear its the 3.

great Mazda 3! - 2004 Mazda Mazda3
By M3 hatchback - April 26 - 4:20 amMy Mazda 3 has been my favorite car I have ever owned. It is sporty, practical, and great fun to drive. I have had many luxury sedans, and two other small midsize cars. I like my Mazda 3 best. I have the hatchback body style.

After 17,900 Miles ... - 2004 Mazda Mazda3
By Virgin1 - April 20 - 9:23 pmI still love this car. Yes, it has a few flaws but at less than $20K its a deal. As stated before me the car/tires leaves something to be desired in rain and even more so in snow and ice. Yokohamas may have been a better choice than the Goodyears. Get the ABS package! Its a lil pricey but includes side and curtain air bags. Also, get the 6-CD changer even if you dont think you want it (as I did). I plan to install a 22mm rear anti-sway bar to reduce understeer. In spite of what others have said here, I have raced cars and any factory front driver understeers too much. I think 25-32 MPG is excellent for a car like this one ... any car really, and on regular 87 octane fuel too.

Great fun car - 2004 Mazda Mazda3
By Jonniejr2 - April 13 - 8:53 amThis car has been great. I have had it now for 3 months and I just love it. It is my first car that I actually bought and I cant be happier. I dont have a whole lot of money right now so this smaller sized car is great for someone who just got out of college and needed a new car. It gets great gas mileage and is sporty looking and fun to drive. The 4-cylinder on this baby isnt even noticeable, accelerates like a champ.

Cute and Fun Car! - 2004 Mazda Mazda3
By lolokay - March 23 - 2:00 amI just bought the M3 today and have already had a lot of fun driving it. Besides being inexpensive, it is stylish and easy to drive. I actually bought the car for my teenage son, but he may never get to use it because I am enjoying it so much! When I went to the dealer I was going to buy a Mazda 6 but I found this to be almost as nice, much more interesting to look at, and about $7,000 cheaper! I think this will be a hit with the teens and college students.
