  I purchased the Sorento after owning a Kia Sephia. I put alot of miles on the Sephia and had no problems but was looking for a large vehicle that would handle snow and off road conditions. I purchesed the Sorento after seeing one upclose for the first time, The ride on the test drive was great peppy roomy and comfortable. With a 100,000 mile warrenty how can you go wrong.

  Truly enjoyable driving. Luxurious interior for the price. The only negative is the very, very, poor gas mileage. Its a fun car to drive. Handles like a dream.

  Several people have told me not to buy a Kia, and for awhile I took their advice. Well, I was looking for a SUV and wanted to trade in my Ford Focus. I test drove a Jeep Grand Cherokee, Liberty, Ford Escape and The Sorento. I was not planning on buying a Kia, but by riding by and stopping just to give it a try. I Fell In Love with it and drove it home the same day. I would like to give some advise of my own. Go buy a Kia if not go test drive one

  Well from the get go I was excited. I loved the outside and my two little boys under 3 wouldnt really mess up a used car and me care as much so it worked out due to the room also of an SUV. So I should have known while buying it the were replacing the timing belt not to get it I have had my drive shaft messed up and falling out along with the carrier bearings (sp.). Now my reservoir is cracked and being replaced and also my head gaskets are blown. I have had no heater and no air sometimes. It has stranded me and 3 kids and one adult in the middle of the road. They have no customer service at all and every time you call its someone new because they can keep their employees. No kia for me!!!!

  Gas Mileage - 2004 Kia Sorento

  This is the second KIA that my family owns. We bought a 2003 Sedona Van and love both of them. Regarding the gas mileage,I found that the Ford Explorer with a V6 engine gets the same mileage as the Sedona and Sorento. The Chevrolet Trail Blazer also gets the same, so I feel the 15 to 20 miles a gallon is about average for a V6. also the V6 in the KIA is a larger V6 than most.

  Had doubts about the name KIA and after putting on over 8,000 miles on a trip we have no doubts about the name. The vehicle has performed better than expected. Only a few minor design changes would make this vehicle a perfect "10".

  The Sorento has gone thru one of the worst winters we have had in New England, I always made it thru the large amounts of snow with only one modification (snow tires). I needed to use 4 wheel one time but was very glad to have it when the time came. The ride quality for such an inexpensive vehicle is amazing. I have several customers that have driven my vehicle and comented on its ride,power and comfort(several Lexus drivers too)

  We decided to consider purchasing SUV after using 2003 KIA as rental car for 3 weeks, while current auto, 96 Taurus SHO being repaired. Reviewed several SUVs, chose 2004 KIA EX for its style, good looks, road handling, and roominess. Much easier to get children in and out of car seats. Very affordable!

  excellent interior design, lousy gas mileage around 15 mpg. great ride, smooth even on harsh roads.
