Overview & Reviews
For 2004, the Sedona has a revised grille with a larger logo. The EX model has a new alloy wheel design, while the LX has redesigned plastic wheel covers. A center tray table with cupholders is now standard on both EX and LX.
- Excellent value, roomy interior with lots of cupholders and storage bins, solid build quality, lengthy warranty coverage.
- Below-average gas mileage, missing a few key minivan features, potentially expensive to repair in minor collisions.

Great value - 2004 Kia Sedona
By markymark - January 15 - 10:00 amGreat looking & value for the money. We got the EX because of all the extras...and its not that much more. This one has everything you need. Got DVD, sunroof, ABS (a necessity), spoiler, leather seats as options. Never thought the spoiler would add so much, looks great. If you want a great minivan with value for the dollar...this is the one. Try to find something else with so many features, warranty and safety. It rides great, looks great and my family loves it. Very quiet, no rattles or shakes, excellent shifting transmission...very responsive. Engine is solid...there when you need it.

Most practical vehicle I have ever owned - 2004 Kia Sedona
By ramguy7 - January 1 - 11:36 amHave owned luxury vehicles and several trucks; the minivan is the most practical, and one of the most comfortable overall, I have ever owned. I am sold on minivan ownership; it can be a luxury car most of the time, then when necessary remove 2 rows of seats, and you have a truck with more space than my Ford Ranger 4x4, which I also was very fond of.

Think Safety, first and foremost - 2004 Kia Sedona
By north yorker - December 9 - 10:00 amWith Sienna and Odyssey you get what you paid for, but with Sedona you get more, more, more! Least expensive with all the bells and whistles and comes with the best warranty available in minivan category. Im not too particular when it comes to engine/powertrain problems. Mechanical breakdowns can still be fixed but safety features such as side impact bars is something that you cannot just buy anywhere and install in your car.

im satisfied so far - 2004 Kia Sedona
By mike40 - September 8 - 10:00 amIve had my Sedona 4 days now, i know thats not enough time to really critique it, but i really like it!!, plenty of storage inside, ( i especially like the lock box under the passenger seat!). And the very peppy engine is a shocker to me, no wimpy 4cylinder here!!!,but the real kicker is the warranty!!! Ford, Chevy, Dodge, and host of others cant even come close!!!!!. Its good to know that when i make my last payment on my van there will be warranty left on it!!!!!!!

I will buy another! - 2004 Kia Sedona
By SchlingBlade - August 27 - 10:56 amPurchased our 2004 KIA Sedona LX new near the end of 2004. Lots of extended highway driving when we go on trips, and the van performs well. 20-22mpg on the highway if we keep it under 70mph. I have replaced the original tires (56K miles), and windshield (rock cracked it). No other work outside of normal scheduled maintenance (fluid changes, tire rotation). Will need to have the front brakes serviced for the first time when 60K miles rolls around. Interior has worn well, except for the drivers side floor where the carpet is dirty. Van is driven every day, regardless of weather, so it gets quite dirty in the winter. Once this van is paid off, Ill be purchasing another KIA!

Consider carefully - 2004 Kia Sedona
By Brian Macy - July 28 - 10:00 amI bought the Sedona because it is cheap and safe. In this case you get less than you pay for. It isnt user friendly, the vehicle is made out of poor quality materials, and the vehicle is noisey. So far it has overheated because of a fan relay failing and the dashboard lights have gone out. The internal fuse box cover is constantly falling off while driving. The vehicle is simply not quite there and though other vehicles may cost $5-6k more they are more than twice the car. So spend if it you can afford it.
