This Year's Model Updates:

For 2004, the Sedona has a revised grille with a larger logo. The EX model has a new alloy wheel design, while the LX has redesigned plastic wheel covers. A center tray table with cupholders is now standard on both EX and LX.

Pros:
  • Excellent value, roomy interior with lots of cupholders and storage bins, solid build quality, lengthy warranty coverage.
Cons:
  • Below-average gas mileage, missing a few key minivan features, potentially expensive to repair in minor collisions.

I had a dodge Caravan but the new ones were to pricey. I also had a kia sophia as my second car, I like it runs well. So I went and looked at the sedona. The price was good and 2,000 off for Kia loyalty, made it even better, plus the warranty and 5 years road side asistence made it even better. It runs great and lots of room, on the down side it does use a lot of gas, but I know its a mini van, and it has all kinds of power very peppy.

This van is dependable, comfortable, luxurious, and a thrill to drive. My husband and I dispute on who will drive it on the weekends. It has so much room for long trips and for the kids. It also was a huge help when we moved last April to our new house. I love this van as does my whole family. It is such a smooth ride and the engine is so quiet that my husband cannot hear me drive up. I really love this van! I highly recomend Kia vehicles to anyone. Just ask my brother. He and his wife just bought a Sorrento to take their new baby home in this July!

The Sedona by Kia has been basically a good purchase. I was disappointed in the gas mileage, both in town and out on the road. The "take-out" rear seats are heavy when removing.

I love everything about my Kia, except for a few things like the lack of legroom in the last row. I cannot get anyone over the age of six to sit back there. It is very uncomfortable. I have also found that I am not getting very good gas mileage with the van. I have noticed that I am only getting about half of what was advertised when I purchased the van. Other then that my family loves riding in the van.

  • Great Van for the Money - 2004 Kia Sedona

Only have driven a couple hundred miles in it, but I love it. The ride is awesome, features are great, and the family loves it. We traded our Ford expedition due to gas mileage and for the ease of getting kids in and out. We love it so far!!!

We got a great price and a fully loaded van. The kids love it and we are so happy to have them out of a cramped SUV where they touched each other and fought over everything. Now they have their own space and everything is much quieter in the car!

As a sports family we do the baseball and basketball traveling. We have experienced no room for the standard equipment for these sports. The only way it will fit is the removal of the two back seats, we need the seats for people.

  • We LOVE our new Sedona EX minivan!!! - 2004 Kia Sedona

I am disappointed that our van did not make the Consumer Report top 5 list. We shopped HARD at all the available minivans on the market. This van won us over hands down in affordability (we wanted ALL the options incl. the DVD), looks, comfort (short mom LOVES the power seat options), and driveability. It isnt any more expensive gas-wise than the Ford Explorer we drove for 10 years. The crash tests impressed us as we wanted a very safe vehicle for our new baby. The seats arrange in so many ways! Who cares if you cant hide them in the floor?! Our only complaint - knobs/handles feel lightweight.

I have owned this Kia for over 2 years and it is a great auto to own; for the money you could not buy a better van with all the equipment on it. The gas mileage is the only problem I have had to date; I get 10 to 12 in city and 15 to 16 on highway. They say everything is ok with the car but still gas mileage doesnt lie. Other than that it is a GREAT CAR!

  • Unbeatable Value - 2004 Kia Sedona

The Kia Sedona cant be beat for its combination of value, features, and 10 yr warranty. I compared the Sedona to a fully loaded Honda Odyssey at $32,000. I paid $20,700 for my Sedona EX, including a manufacturers rebate of $3,000. I added a very nice aftermarket 11" DVD/MP3/VCD player, seat heaters and a remote starter for less than $2,000. The $10,000 difference was too much for me to justify. Most people that end up buying Kia are looking for a big warranty and big bang for the buck. I am very happy knowing that my car will be fully warrantied until it is paid off. I think todays Korean cars are right where the Japanese were in the 80s: unbeatable value, performance, and reliability.
