Overview & Reviews
For 2004, the Sedona has a revised grille with a larger logo. The EX model has a new alloy wheel design, while the LX has redesigned plastic wheel covers. A center tray table with cupholders is now standard on both EX and LX.
- Excellent value, roomy interior with lots of cupholders and storage bins, solid build quality, lengthy warranty coverage.
- Below-average gas mileage, missing a few key minivan features, potentially expensive to repair in minor collisions.

Very Disappointed! - 2004 Kia Sedona
By Leslie - October 26 - 2:03 pmOur 04 Kia Sedona has been reliable for the most part. We have had a few major problems with the air conditioning. The size of this van is very small and is not a 7 passenger van but more of a 6 passenger van. I cant fit all my groceries in the back cargo space. 13 mpg is not acceptable. The third row and second row seats are very hard to remove. The driver and passenger seats and head rests are very uncomfortable.

Save $$$ and enjoy the ride! - 2004 Kia Sedona
By ubgood - October 1 - 10:00 amWell I went to the cheapest Van, as I was told by the missleading Ads (dodge) but did find out after looking at the numbers that the KIA van is better, cheaper, and yes, I can enjoy the saving, therefore more vacations money! $21500 for everything, compare with $31000, your choice!

Unbeatable Value - 2004 Kia Sedona
By garyb - August 25 - 10:00 amFeatures, warranty, and price got us to look at Sedona. Test drive, nice interior and exterior design, quality materials, and excellent build quality sealed the deal. Nothing else comes close when price is considered.

Great Kia - 2004 Kia Sedona
By Dan - June 21 - 6:10 pmWe bought this van to replace our 1997 Nissan Quest and this van surpasses the Nissan by a very large margin. We like everything about this van aside from the fact that the gas mileage is not up to par. But that is because of the extra weight but I will gladly sacrifice a little mpg for the safety in rain snow and windy conditions.

Disappointed Consumer - 2004 Kia Sedona
By Lisa Grimmer - April 13 - 10:00 amI have had my sedona 2 years, and I have had to take it back in 6 times for repairs. 3 times were for check engine light, which is still not repaired. Both of the sliding doors had to have the rollers replaced, and the passenger side mirror is stuck. All of the repairs have been under the warranty, but what happens when the warranty ends?

Not a complaint outta me - 2004 Kia Sedona
By I_dig_my_KIA - April 8 - 10:00 amIn reality, she isnt that much cheaper than the competition, but the Sedona is well built, packed with extras that are options on competitive vehicles, and an all around people hauler. I read many complaints about the LX not coming with Keyless entry? Well learn to barter with your dealer. I got keyless, floormats, lifetime detailing and oil changes thrown in for free. total price of the nicest minivan I have ever owned: $17,400. Compared to my 98 Grand Voyager, this thing is faultless.

I love my Sedona! - 2004 Kia Sedona
By TutiFlutey - February 24 - 10:00 amThis is my first minivan. I researched every minivan on Edmunds and found the Sedona to be the least expensive van with the most options. Id never driven a minivan before and found it very easy to drive. It is extremely comfortable--I LOVE the lumbar support for my poor back! My husband is excited because now I will actually drive on trips. I wish it got better gas mileage, but am glad its so heavy.
