Hondas are the best - 2005 Honda Civic
By Steve - April 10 - 8:08 pmI have two 05 Civics, one a 5 speed manual, the other is an auto. The 5 speed has never has any mechanical problems except the clear coat started to peel off the rear bumper after a visit to the car wash. Honda fixed it under warranty and I never had another problem. That car has 70K on it. The auto has 32K. Although they are slugs power wise, I am getting high 30s in the winter and low 40s in the warm weather. Driving a stick can be a pain in traffic, but it consistently gets better mileage than the automatic trans. The Hondas feel like they have been gone over by engineers until they have it right. Drive the car gingerly and dont beat it, get the maintenance done and they will hold up

Special Edition is awesome - 2005 Honda Civic
By Donna - March 27 - 12:43 amThis is my second Honda Civic. My last one was a 2002 and I upgraded to the 2005. This one seems larger and a bit higher and easier to get in and out of since I am tall. It is fun to drive and has a lot of power during acceleration. I am totally pleased with my purchase. I get around 30 mpg combined driving city and highway. You cant beat that.

My Ideal Car - 2005 Honda Civic
By Linda Keller - February 15 - 1:36 pmHondas are a "family tradition". Over the last 20 years we have owned a dozen Hondas--Accords, Civics and Preludes, most purchased new. Why? Because Hondas are the most reliable vehicles with superior features, style, safety ratings and great mileage, too. My children grew up knowing the quality of the vehicles and chose to purchase their own after finishing school I currently own the 2005 EX 4-door Special Edition and this will quite likely be THE car for me. It is comfortable to drive, has a bit of a sporty look and a very superior sound system. As a "Baby Boomer" getting close to retirement, it is important to have a car that is reliable. And there is no choice better than a Honda.

Excellent - 2005 Honda Civic
By Tito - February 9 - 5:14 pmI drove this car for three years before I traded for a Honda Civic 2008. Worst decision I ever made. I wish I have my car back. The Civic 2005 is an excellent car, I never had a problem with it.

Really love this car! - 2005 Honda Civic
By 2006Honda Civic - February 6 - 10:00 pmHad a huge van before. This car is so easy to drive, park & most of all see out of! Love seeing my speed in big letters! Also, cant miss the gas guage. The gas lasts really long too! It is beautiful, inside & out. Totally happy with it all!

Not Bad, Not Bad at All - 2005 Honda Civic
By G. Marek - December 30 - 8:00 amI purchased my 2005 Civic Hybrid used, with just over 5700 miles on it. The vehicle has surprised me with its get up and go, good acceleration. I was worried it would be sluggish, but I am happy to say I was mistaken. Very comfy interior, great sound on the stereo system, and the AC will ice you down (living in Texas, this is a good thing). I like the little pseudo-fin on the back, adds a sporty little touch. Though a small car, it feels solidly put together and handles admirably. Of course, most importantly the gas mileage is sensational, and this was the main reason I got this car. I have not been disappointed, and I wouldnt expect anything less coming from Honda. Recommended!

HX is great and its not a hybrid - 2005 Honda Civic
By Artycat - December 7 - 2:00 pmThis is a great little car so far. I just bought new for the first time in 15 years. I had been driving a 96 Olds Ciera with the V-6. The HX has more power and is heck of lot more fun than the Olds. I got it for fuel economy. I cant stand what gas is costing but I didnt want to spend what a hybrid costs. (Were cheap in my family.) Anyway, love the little thing; I wish I couldve gotten green but white will do. Its the 5 speed manual which is fun after the "old lady" Olds. Its also a heck of lot easier to drive than my last new vehicle which was a 90 Toyota Pickup with 4 speed and 4 cylinders. Love this car so far. I highly recommend it.

Love my Civic! - 2005 Honda Civic
By barb - December 6 - 9:41 amWe bought our car new almost 4 years ago and we love the vehicle. Good gas mileage, very reliable (such a pleasure after the horror we previously drove), good looks, no rust, interior is larger than it appears from the outside. My only gripe is that the top of the foot space for the front passenger is very low and this can be uncomfortable, especially if youre a woman wearing higher heels. Apart from that, nothing but praise for the Civic.

Great Car - 2005 Honda Civic
By n0uhallentown - December 1 - 1:10 amI recently acquired the Honda Civic Hybrid. I purchased this car due to the price of Gas and the inefficency of both of my other cars. I have a Saturn Vue and a Pontiac Firebird. Neither of which even get half of the mileage that I get on the Hybrid. I also test drove the Honda Accord Hybrid but couldnt justify the additonal cost and it was not more efficient than my other cars.
