Hybrid Surprise - 2005 Honda Civic
By Joe Brady - May 15 - 5:00 pmI bought the Civic Hybrid to ensure that my wife could make her 100 mile (round trip) commute even if gas were to be rationed. Her other car is a Mercedes, and although she says that the Merc "fits her better," she has only driven it three times in the three months that we have had the Civic. On the rare occasions that I have been permitted to drive the Honda, I have been impressed with its fit, finish, and general willingness to do whatever I ask it to do. It is definitely a small, light car, but it is almost silent at speed, and surprisingly lively. We are averaging 45mpg to date, and make no special attempts to conserve fuel. Overall, the Civic Hybrid was a great choice.

awesome - 2005 Honda Civic
By brassrok - May 12 - 12:43 amMy first Honda...very sleek and easy to drive. The dealership was very easy to work with and offered me a great deal. I would buy it again if I could go back in time with the knowledge I now have.

My 4th Honda Civic! - 2005 Honda Civic
By Roxanne - May 7 - 9:06 pmI know this car is still basically new. It runs great with terrific pickup. They added safety features to it, compared to my last one. I just love to drive it. Not many Hybrids are out there. I am so glad I insisted on getting a Hybrid!

2004 CIVIC HYBRID - 2005 Honda Civic
By DJL - March 26 - 9:03 pmIve thoroughly enjoyed my Hybrid. Going from a minivan to a subcompact, I thought the transition would be difficult, but the trade off has been worth it. The paint seems to be extremely delicate, nicking if you even look at it! I am not getting the mileage I was led to believe Id be getting; however, as I do a LOT of highway driving, Im getting anywhere from 40-44 mpg, which compared to my minivan is excellent. I fill up twice a month whether I need to or not. Overall, Im very glad I went Hybrid. Even if Im not getting the mileage I think I should be getting (50+), I have on occasion hit 50 (rarely) but I still feel as if Im doing something positive for the environment! Win-Win

I love my 2 door EX manual, magnesium - 2005 Honda Civic
By Honda.F1 - March 18 - 10:41 amI was only going to buy a Honda or Acura. I was going to get a RSX but after much research I found they have known transmission problems. Do a google search and youll see. I wanted something more sporty than a Civic but in the end I decided I didnt want to mess with transmission problems over and over again. I read lots of horror stories about people trying to get dealerships to fix their RSX transmission and never getting it done right or saying they could not replicate the problem. Im very happy with my 05 EX 2 door manual. The only modification I want to do is get the Ground Control coilovers and Koni (yellow) adjustable shocks combination. And maybe a K&N intake for an extra 1-3 HP.

It really saves on gas - 2005 Honda Civic
By zack82 - March 13 - 9:33 amI went from driving a jeep, to driving this hybrid. Even with gas prices the way they are, I still am saving an average of 80 dollars a month on gas. And I drive a lot for work, so someone who doesnt drive a lot might need only to fill up once a month. The average gas mileage i get is around 44.6 MPG. It all depends on if you use the air and how fast you drive. Driving with the cruise control really helps to increase gas mileage. I recommend this car to anyone who wants a sporty/hybrid alternative.

Superior car! - 2005 Honda Civic
By Dawn - March 5 - 11:36 amThe 2005 Honda Civic Sedan is is car that is economical because it has excellent gas mileage and can last well over 200,000 miles. My car looks like a sports car with the new design and red color, but at a fraction of the price. It rides very smooth, is comfortable and spacious. The VP has many great new features including a CD player, AC, and automatic. It has great reaction time and drives well.

Love this car - 2005 Honda Civic
By luvmycivic - February 18 - 12:54 amNever had a problem in 3 years. Started without any problems every time. Only complaint is there is not enough room for front passengers feet with legs stretched forward and Im short. Minor shortcoming however and would definitely recommend. Sat in back seat a few times and was surprised how roomy it was.
