Best car Ive ever owned. I wanted a 5 speed trans in the newport blue color and thats what I got. I wanted a sunroof and glad I have it. This car gets awesome gas mileage and is fun to drive. I havent had a single problem with it.

I bought this car because I was looking for something reliable, economical, and with good value. I found the perfect purchase in this civic, and loved every minute of driving it. I got into a pretty bad head-on collision after having the car for about 5 months, and walked out with minor bruises and injuries. The crumple zones were designed flawlessly and even though my car was totaled it protected me perfectly. I would definitely recommend this car to anyone.

  • Just What its supposed to be - 2005 Honda Civic

I bought this one owner car when it was two years old for only ten grand with only 14k miles on it. I wanted a work car that had nothing to break and was lamenting that base models no longer existed when I learned about the VP. I love rolling up and down the windows knowing that there are no motors to fail there or in the seats or door locks. Its an old school econo car with the most reliable combustible gas engine ever made under the hood & no headaches. I am certain to get 200-300k miles. Highly recommended

I used to own a 94 accord that never had any problems other than rust (289,000 miles), so when I bought my newish car I only looked at Hondas. Mistake. The cars quality is not very good. The cable for opening the gas tank broke recently so I have to open the gas tank door through the trunk $200 to fix). Car has a strange overheating problem that the dealer cannot diagnose, not good soundproofing in car, engine is loud, The warranty on these cars in crap, does not get that great of gas mileage, maybe 25-35. This car is boring to drive, especially in an automatic. However the car handles nicely in upstate NY snow and I feel safe in it. I think Honda is riding on their laurels...

Qhat they did this year by adding in the ABS brakes and alloy wheels is perfect, they kept the comfort and style the same just moderized it, and its perfect... smooth ride, good pick up and go... right along with some of the best gas mileage avaliable on the market

  • So Far So Good - 2005 Honda Civic

Ive had the car for six months and have driven over 10,000 miles. Although I have never been able to obtain the advertised 47/48 MPG, I do get at least 42 with the highest logging in at 45. It really does make a difference how you drive (how you accelerate/deccelerate, extra weight, using the a/c, etc...)I am very happy with this car. You dont need to understand the technology behind the car, just know that at $2.50 a gallon this car is a money saver.

  • Love my new Hybrid - 2005 Honda Civic

I bought this new Civic Hybrid due to my 100 mile daily round trip commute. The Civic Manual Tranny has taught me to how to drive again. Shifting is EASY! The prompt light tells me the optimum time to shift. I love the on board MPG calculators. I filled up after the fist week. I had 450 Miles and filled up with 10 gallons of gas. I average about 70 MPH on the freeway. I tested the Civic one day averaging about 60 MPH, I got a 50.2 MPG. Awsome. This Civic lacks some zip and pickup if you follow the prompts, but has it if you need to pass in a pinch. Interior is excellent, power windows, cruise, CD Stereo, side airbags and even a climate control stystem. I love my Civic Hybrid!

  • The way to go - 2005 Honda Civic

I just went to look at the honda for acomparison to the scion tc. After driving it though I fell in love. The car is roomy, well made and above all else a blast to drive, definitely not what i expected from a "plain old honda". Though it is down 30hp from the scion it feels just as quick. the interior is much less gimmicky then the scion. all the buttons and what have you are easy to find and use, and the transmission is silky smooth. My insurance premium barely went up as well from my old 89 accord and I only had liability on it. I have averaged 36MPG with mixed driving conditions, a definite plus. If youre in the market for a sporty economy car dont count out the civic. Its a best buy.

  • Miles Not a Worry - 2005 Honda Civic

I purchased my 1-owner (carfacts) used car in July of 2009 with 175,000 miles already on it. I have loved everything about it. Depending on the terrain and wind, the mileage has ranged from 36-54mph, with the worst coming from driving into terrible winds and the best from driving with a breeze (have yet to drive with a strong wind). Car gets about 49mpg in town when driving with care. I have put 5,000 miles on it since purchasing and its averaged 47mpg city/highway. Have had NO problems whatsoever to speak of, even with the high mileage. Have only replaced the oil/filter (once a year or every 10,000 miles). I would tell any and everybody that they would love a Honda Civic Hybrid!!
