Great car - 2003 Honda Civic
By TCH - May 22 - 10:00 amI was thinking about buying a new Toyota Corolla when I saw an ad from a Los Angeles County area Honda dealer selling its Civic Hybrids for under dealers invoice. I went there, test drove and bought it. Its all what the reviews say about it -- very confortable, quiet, peepy performance, good quality in fit and finish.

Environment- and human-friendly - 2003 Honda Civic
By chrislee - May 4 - 10:00 amIn 99% of my driving its hard to believe Im driving a hybrid. My decision to buy it was partially influenced by New York States $4000 incentive tax bonus, but I think I would have bought the hybrid anyway. It could use more horsepower on the highway, but Im not a speeder so Im very happy with its performance.

great little car - 2003 Honda Civic
By PMF - May 4 - 10:00 amWe like this car a lot. It is extremely thrifty on gas -- we averaged well over 55 m.p.g. highway, and have averaged 46-47 in the city. Weve owned it about 6 weeks, and have had no mechanical problems.

Fun Coupe - 2003 Honda Civic
By funkyb - May 4 - 10:00 amSome might think I stepped down from my box of a Jeep to a Honda Civic HX, I think I stepped into a reliable, sleek, just plain fun to drive car. I cannot agree with some who say it lacks power in the upper gears, I find it quite tenacious at high speeds on little-traveled highways in Montana. However, in the lower gears Im not as impressed. With its slow acceleration from stop, left turns across lanes of traffic are sometimes hair-raising experiences. Quiet, dependable, long gaps between gas stops make this a great car, especially for those who are just breaking out of college and living on their own.

Economical (but slow and noisy) Honda - 2003 Honda Civic
By V-10PowerBaby - May 4 - 10:00 amLets get one thing straight. I love Hondas. Not because Im "on the bandwagon", but because Ive owned five of them. Accords, Civics, and even a DOHC Del Sol. I have always been treated with the utmost respect by all of Hondas personnel, and the darn cars just refuse to break, no matter how hard Ive pushed them (did I mention the 160+hp DOHC VTEC Del Sol?) My work commute suddenly grew to 35+mi. each way last Nov., so I had to trade the V-10 4X4 in on something, shall we say, more practical...and a whole lot more reliable.

Great Car - 2003 Honda Civic
By Alex - May 2 - 10:27 amGood gas mileage. With K&N Oil Filter and Castrol Syntec getting 35mpg at 70mph on 87 regular gas. At 55-65mph nearly 40 or higher mpg. Like the cluster gauge comparing to the the 2002 Honda Civic Ex or older.

All right at first - 2003 Honda Civic
By zach - May 1 - 2:38 pmThis car was all right at first, just a little vibration due to a loose motor mount. The transmission went out 5 months later and its broken beyond repair is what I was told. Itll total 3 grand for a new one and I need to shell out cash for worn left and right bushings, a leaky cv boot, and a new motor mount. Dont bother buying unless you can get it from dealer under warranty.

Great Effort by Honda - 2003 Honda Civic
By whatever22 - April 29 - 10:00 amI am happy with my purchase of this vehicle. It feels like it has more than 93 horsepower. I am truly getting close to the 50 mpg this car is supposed to get you. The gauges are fun to look at for many reasons, and the car is actually peppy when pushed a little. Even when I push it hard and with the AC on, I get about 40 mpg.

seeyaray review - 2003 Honda Civic
By seeyaray - April 29 - 10:00 amI have driven this car since Nov. 2002, durring what I consider a tough winter. This car handeled very well in the snow, and is a pleasure to drive anytime. the only thing I would like to see added to its options is a GPS, other than that it has everything I need in a automobile. Fun to drive and excellent on gas.

Great Investment - 2003 Honda Civic
By Wayne - April 28 - 10:10 amI have driven several luxury vehicles, decided to try a civic out after hearing all the good things about them. The only thing I can say is a negative is that after 3 or so hours, it is not as comfortable a ride as other vehicles I have owned. However, it is attractive, gets 40 mpg (which is more than the sticker states), is cheap to insure and has a great factory sound system. It shifts like a dream and I have no complaints.
