Overview & Reviews
Changes for the 2008 Honda CR-V are restricted to the EX-L trim level, which gains an eight-way power driver seat, dual-zone automatic climate control and the premium sound system that could previously only be had with the optional navigation system.
- Thoughtful interior design, high-quality interior materials, versatile cargo hold, quiet and comfortable ride, high crash test scores, agile handling.

Honda CR-V - 2008 Honda CR-V
By Kiel - December 29 - 11:50 amThe CR-V is a great vehicle! Ive driven about 1000 miles (good mix of highway and city) and the gas mileage is the best part thus far (low/mid 20s for city; upper 20s to low 30s highway). A good portion of my driving has been in snow/ice and the car handles great-I literally had to force the vehicle to lose control. Ive seen many complaints about power, but there isnt lack of power (reminder: its not a dragster!). The CR-V is extremely quiet as both engine and road noise are low. Even a 30+ mph wind didnt add much noise in the cabin. The rear cargo area wasnt as big as I thought, but it works for my needs. Lots of small storage places to put stuff, but some are a bit too small.

Good vehicle with some issues - 2008 Honda CR-V
By Phil - December 12 - 11:37 pmDrives well but sometimes your head bounces on the headrest. Interior layout is well thought out. Check gas cap light came on once but I could not find anything wrong. Glob of sealant on rear door rubbed the finish off the hinge. Averaging 24.5 mpg.

No country for big men - 2008 Honda CR-V
By Jimbo - November 26 - 9:06 pmThis vehicle is too small for most men. It is uncomfortable and cramped. I gave the vehicle to my daughter. This is a womans vehicle in every way! The vehicle is vastly underpowered. I enjoy an occasional surge of power like my friends BMW 3 or my nephews Ford. My sisters Mercury hybrid makes this vehicle feel silly and slow. This is an SUV for city folks.

Nice ride - 2008 Honda CR-V
By Grifon - November 22 - 5:41 pmWe selected the CR-V over the Rav4 and could not be happier. We especially enjoy the build quality, the real-time mileage gauges, and gas mileage. Although the stated highway mileage is 27 MPG, I recently achieved 31 MPG with careful driving management. In spite of the 4 cylinder the CR-V is plenty peppy enough for onramp acceleration. There is plenty of room in the back for our 6 plus sons.

Great Buy - 2008 Honda CR-V
By Jon - November 19 - 9:23 amMy wife chose this over my preference for a CX-7 and no regrets. Well-built, roomy, drives well and nicely designed and finished interior. Wasnt sure about the looks, but they grow on you. V6 option would be nice.

Wonderful car! - 2008 Honda CR-V
By Maria - November 8 - 3:56 amThis is my 3rd Honda CR-V and I dont think Ill ever change to another SUV! The Honda CR-V LX 2008 is a great car, better mileage than my CR-V 2004 and it is really good to drive. I am so excited about my new purchase and I congratulate the Honda Co. for putting such good product out in the market!

This Car Will Surprise You - 2008 Honda CR-V
By DG - October 16 - 10:20 pmWe have had several SUVs and still have three along with our new CR-V. When we went to buy a Honda, we had our heart set on a Pilot until we walked into the show room and looked at a CR-V on the floor. We were amazingly surprised at what we saw. Great comfort, styling and looks. After the test drive we were sold. Absolutely love it and cannot find one thing that we dont like. It is our first Honda in a long time and we were very pleasantly surprised. IF you are thinking of it [CR-V vs anything else] you cannot go wrong with the CR-V. Fantastic car for the money. Tremendous value and options for a vehicle in this class.

Sweet! - 2008 Honda CR-V
By dantheman - September 24 - 3:43 amI bought this car because my older VW was getting to be a pain to fix all the time. I figured I needed a 4x4 for the winter, and I needed the extra room as our civic is a little tight on long trips. This is my first CR-V and I love it. The drive is smoother, the interior is nice, and the fuel economy is up there. I read others who were complaining about things missing that I have on my EX-L. I have only driven the car 500 miles so far, but theyve been flawless so far. I will be taking my annual trip to NC this summer which is around 2000 miles round trip. I look forward to it.

Great Small SUV - 2008 Honda CR-V
By bigsr120 - September 17 - 12:03 pmI previously drove a 2004 Honda EX CR-V on a lease, which I turned in about four months ago. I purchased the 2008 EX CR-V about four weeks ago and absolutely love it. It is so much better than my previous SUV in comfort, ergonomics, technology, and overall style. I am averaging approximately 24 MPG, in mixed city/highway driving. My 04 CR-V was a pleasure to drive, but this total redesign really blows it away. The safety features are terrific with full side curtain and seat side airbags. With included traction control and vehicle stability assist, I feel so much safer driving this completely redesigned version. The CR-V handles nimbly, rides smoothly, and is much quieter than my 2004 CR-V.

Sadly Disappointed - 2008 Honda CR-V
By Sadgal - August 25 - 12:46 pmI purchased the CRV LX for the sole purpose of traveling. Unfortunately the seats are the most uncomfortable I have ever encountered. In just a four hour trip, I thought I was going to die. I am sadly disappointed in the seats Honda has put in this car. I would not buy another.
