  • Excellent All-Around Vehicle - 2008 Honda CR-V

I bought my EX-L after a thorough review of the competition. In fact, I was set on the new Forester 2009 until I saw this CR-V parked in the dealers lot. I have had it for a week. I am extremely pleased with it. I had an Audi A4 beforehand. Now, with two small kids, I need something more practical. It is a great car: very refined on the inside, pretty on the outside. The ride is great, even if the engine can indeed appear to be a little weak when on the highway going uphill. But everything is relative: it is a fine ride even then, just not as powerful as it could be. The car is intelligently designed, lots of space in front and back and cargo, and all in all an excellent buy.

Third CR-V. All have been excellent especially fuel consumption. Excellent acceleration from on-ramps to merge into faster traffic. No difficulty with rear view, as this was a suggested shortcoming with current design.

  • Whats not to like? - 2008 Honda CR-V

I dont think Im your typical buyer - I drive a special edition Porsche 911 and I wanted some utility to carry stuff - dog, golf clubs, and occasionally people. My options going in were Lexus GX470, Porsche Cayenne Turbo, or the CR-V. I know - a crazy mix. I looked at BMW, Mazda, Subaru, etc. I bought the CR-V as I felt it had the quality of the BMW, solid structure (good handling), spaciousness, and fuel economy (light carbon footprint). I couldnt be happier - it has everything an more that I need and want in a vehicle of this type. Engine is sufficient for my tasks, handling is nimble, brakes great. Visibility is good, comfortable and economical - can it get any better. Very pleased.

  • Air Conditioner Issues Strike Again!!! - 2008 Honda CR-V

I love the the way the CR-V looks, and drives. I bought it Sat. and by Monday the air conditioner wasnt working! I took it to the dealership yesterday and they told me they had to order a new compressor. I did a yahoo search for CR-V air conditioner problems and there are tons of posts with older models that had problems with the compressor blowing up! I think I may go buy that extended warranty!

  • Extremely nice - 2008 Honda CR-V

This is my 3rd Honda, my Civic was almost perfect after 11 yrs.and I only got rid of it because it was getting hard to get in & out because its low and I have a bad knee. CR-V has now joined our 2006 Saturn Vue in the garage. Tested the Tucson (zippy ride, ugly interior), Rav-4 (didnt like the wheel on the back & a few other things) wanted another Vue but the gas mileage is terrible on the new model, and then once I got in the CR-V, I was sold. For anyone with a purse, the gear shifter on the dash allows for a perfect spot on the floor in front. It rides like a car, is fun to drive, feels solid, has a beautiful paint job (the white is gorgeous) and is very comfortable. Hope to have it for years.

  • Refined small SUV - 2008 Honda CR-V

I traded in a 2000 95k+ Honda Civic, and decided to get something that was a bit more roomy. So far, the CR-V has lived up to its billing. Firstly, the acceleration is much better than expected. Ive had a few brief moments of lagging response, but for a 4 cyl 166 hp engine, its extremely peppy and responsive. Interior display & materials on the ex are beautiful (the reason why I chose the CR-V over the rav4). Unfortunately, after only 1,500 miles of driving, my alternator, battery, and fuse panel needed to be replaced. Not good, but Im hopeful this is an isolated incident, and not indicative of future reliability. My mpg is respectable, averaging 23 with 50/50 city/highway.

  • LOVE IT!!! Handles like a BMW. - 2008 Honda CR-V

I recently bough this CR-V EX-L (with nav.) Although great handling, it does have a stiff ride, and the four cylinder engine is a joke. Fuel efficiency was not a deciding factor when purchasing. Honda really should offer an optional six cylinder for the people driving on the highways often.

  • New To Honda Family - 2008 Honda CR-V

Our mini van died and forced us into looking at vehicles sooner than expected, but had already started with a plan to purchase at year end. Looked at RAV-4s (didnt like tire attached to tail gate), Murano (too expensive), Escape (already have one, but didnt like the MPG and really no significant design change since early 2003). I was adamant about getting a V- 6 until I drove the CR-V and was astonished at the 4 cyl power! With the functional interior and no non- sense design I am extremely happy so far. Nice sensible vehicle!

  • Great Compact SUV - 2008 Honda CR-V

For the money, features, and specs, you cant go wrong with this one. Better mpg would be nice, but I realize its a tradeoff to get performance and to be up off the ground.

  • 2008 CRV EX AWD - 2008 Honda CR-V

I test drove a 2008 Xterra, a 2008 WRX, and a 2008 Wrangler. None of them compared to the comfort I felt inside of the CRV. Though not as powerful as the others, the interior design and over quality feel of the car made up for it. I have owned the CRV now for two weeks. Gas mileage is decent, but I thought it would be better. I am averaging 22.5 MPG with mixed city and highway miles. A lack of power if not an issue at all. 166HP is more than enough for highway passing. I am very impressed with the interior space and the quality of materials used. I havent driven it in the snow yet, but I did drive it in mild rain and it handled well.
