This Year's Model Updates:

Honda has added a new trim level for 2002, the SE. The Accord SE is based on the LX four-cylinder coupe or sedan trim level with an automatic transmission. Features setting the SE apart from LX models include an upgraded audio system, a driver seat power height adjustment, interior wood grain trim, antilock brakes, remote keyless entry and 15-inch alloy wheels.

Pros:
  • Great build quality, spacious interior, peppy yet clean engines, comfortable seats, excellent resale value, reputation for bulletproof reliability.
Cons:
  • Everybody drives one, bland personality, stiff highway ride.

  • 2002 Honda Accord EX V6 sedan.. A++ - 2002 Honda Accord

    I bought this car 5 years ago with 48,000 miles on it from a friend who buys cars from the dealer only auctions.I did my research and saw the 02 EX V6 came with a lot of standard items that were options on the earlier years. I also saw that the earlier years had transmission problems. The V6 has plenty of power for this car.I have had no problems with this car. This is a GREAT CAR! I change the oil every 3,000 miles, the car just turned to 92,000 miles so I found a great deal on ebay for a COMPLETE timing belt kit. Local dealer cost 450.00 eBay 325.00 including shipping from a Honda dealership. Thats the biggest expense Ive had to put into the car.I Would definitely buy this car again. A+

  • So far so good - 2002 Honda Accord

    Just purchased this honda accord v6 coupe. It was a decent price and looked like it was well taken care of. Love the power and the handling. With all the snow and ice in philly right now, the traction control system is awesome and much appreciated. My only concern when I bought it was that it has 269K miles on it already. I had 2 people look at it and they couldnt find anything wrong so I bought it. It drives like its brand new. You would never guess it had that many miles on it. Time will tell how much life I can squeeze out of it.

    Bought this ex v6 from a local dealer about a year ago with 54k on the odometer. Today there is just over 90k. Ive gone on several trips to the mountains and MI over the year. The v-6 has great acceleration, the traction control comes in handy with this powerhouse. The tranny at times hesitates and has issues finding the gear it wants but thats only when its cold. The ride is great, in the twisty roads of the mountains it handles like a sports car but smooth like glass on the highway. I would suggest this car to anyone, in the past year and 36k later no issues what so ever, plan on running this one into the ground.

  • Best in class - 2002 Honda Accord

    As a commuter and "driver" this is an enjoyable car. Right combination of practicality, good gas mileage, fun factor, resale value, and comfort. I thoroughly tested the Camry, Passat, and Altima. Camry is way too boring and ugly, Altima good but cheap interior, Passat probably the best but needs premium fuel and has less space.

  • Great coupe - 2002 Honda Accord

    Ive had this vehicle for about 2 weeks now. Its amazing. The only things it could use are a 5-spd tranny, and maybe a little more power. The ride is firm, but still comfortable. The seats could be a little more supportive, but are still good for holding you in the twisties. All in all, its a pretty great car. A few more options/power and it could be exceptional!

  • a great decision - 2002 Honda Accord

    I was wavering between Nissan Altima and Honda Accord. I am very happy about buying the Accord, as the car is built very well. Absolutely no problems after 8000 miles. I am happy about the V6, as the 4 cylinder engine feels so weak comparatively. I average 20 mpg in the city.

  • Top Of The Line - 2002 Honda Accord

    I recently purchased a 02 coupe 3.0 EX V-6 Accord. Saying that it has exceded my expectations is high praise considering that I conducted months of research and drove a couple hundred miles while comparison shopping. It handles like its on rails thanks to stabilizer bars which help the vehicle to stay level in tight turns. The powerful, silky smooth, free-reving engine is a delight to drive making it feel sportier and more fun to drive than most automatic transmission vehicles. The leather seats are comfortable. The car isolates road and wind noise better than my grandmas new $50K caddy, thanks to dampening materials & subframes.

    Just got the 2002 Honda Accord, EX-V6 with the spoiler. Runs great, fun to drive, fog lights should be standard along with day time running lights and auto on-auto off head lights. My last car was a Chev. Monte Carlo SS, it had everything but cost much more. Good work Honda.
