Overview & Reviews
The F-150 is fully redesigned for 2004. It's bigger, more powerful and offers a greater variety of features and body styles than ever before.
- Exceptional ride and handling characteristics, attractive and functional interior designs, multiple cab and bed configurations, most payload and towing capacity in the half-ton class.
- Feels sluggish even with larger V8, no available side airbags, not much interior storage space.

Best Full-Size Pickup! - 2004 Ford F-150
By Bakers - October 16 - 10:00 amIve owned several trucks over the years (both Ford and Chevy) but this one is the best yet! Excellent ride & handling. Stylish exterior and best looking most functional interior Ive ever seen in a truck. Extremely quiet driver/passenger compartment with virtually no wind noise. Performance of the 3-valve 5.4L V8 Engine is very good. If youre looking for a full- size pickup, take a look at the new 2004 F-150!

top of the line - 2004 Ford F-150
By dennis w. daugherty - October 14 - 5:23 pmThis is simple, its the best looking, longest lasting and toughest truck on the road for this class. This truck is great to drive and proud to be seen in. A truck you can go to work in and then take out for a night on the town. This is a 9 rating staight accross. I think the only down side is that the transmission doesnt quite fit the engine, a smoother shift would make this the ultimate drive. Other than that it handles curves, hills and hiways with excellent reactions to comands. I waited years to buy the best truck and i got it.......DWD.. Ca.

By Greg Vammen - September 30 - 10:00 amI was in the market for a new family/work vehicle, I took long test drives in many of the new chevy, dodge, toyota trucks comparable to the F-150 Supercrew. The second mile driving the Ford I was sold, Man what a great truck.... Now I own my first brand new vehicle ever and couldnt be happier!

81800 miles and no problem, almost - 2004 Ford F-150
By mt - September 27 - 5:27 pmI bought the truck new in sep of 2004. I have put all 81000 miles on the truck. I had to replace both electric window mechanisms for 155.00 a piece did the labor myself. Brakes squeak when they get hot. Not a big deal. Truck runs just like new. I use mobil 1 oil and I dont use the truck much for hauling loads. Always starts, hot or cold, good fuel mileage 17/22. No leaks. I am still driving on the original michelin tires and they still look good.

Oh What a Feeling! - 2004 Ford F-150
By Rdonovan491 - September 18 - 10:00 amI fell in love as soon as a sat in the new Ford! What an improvement in comfort and design. The toughest decision was choosing between the Lariat and th FX. I chose the Lariat finally due to a slightly prefeered guage look. I was a little concerned about driving it after hearing some of the reviews on it lacking power. It felt fine, if you want 0-50 acceleration in my opinion by a car! The pulling and ability to climb hills was great.

Watch Out for Spark Plugs - 2004 Ford F-150
By mwd - September 13 - 8:39 amThe Good: Awesome looks and terrific interior room for 5 people that can also pull a boat. Great comfort. The Bad: Transmission has had trouble with leaking seals and shakes intermittently on the road. Spark plugs!! Really bad design. Even Ford mechanics cant get them out routinely without breaking them off in the cylinder head. You get the charge for the additional labor to fish them out. Changing plugs on this model can cost anywhere from $500 to $1500! If you buy this truck used, make sure this has already been done or take it into account when pricing.

Simply The Best - 2004 Ford F-150
By crcarl1 - August 22 - 2:00 amFantastic truck. Flawless build quality. Plush interior. Needs to loose some weight as the 5.4 L V8 seems underpowered due to the heft of this truck.
