The 2006 Dodge Charger is a new full-size sedan but shares many of its mechanical components with the Chrysler 300 and Dodge Magnum.

Pros:
  • Striking looks for a sedan, Hemi V8, firm handling, refined ride, roomy and comfortable interior, reasonably priced.
Cons:
  • Looks plain from behind, some low-grade interior plastics, hefty curb weight.

I bought the car with 7100 miles on it, and have driven it (carefully) through all four North Dakota seasons. It isnt what Id call a "winter" car around here but it has done the job just fine. No squeaks, rattles, leaks, mechanical trouble of any kind except the passenger seat sensor got tipped up a teeny bit by my girlfriends shoe- adjusted back by hand in 30 seconds. I have Top Banana #298 and I would advise anyone with the opportunity to buy one! I have 37900 on it now. Prepare for everyone you meet to stare and almost every kid to shout "its Bumblebee from Tranformers!" (of course thats a Camaro but I dont get offended)

After spending my life going with Camrys, Accords, and other so thought quality mid sized clone cars I took a shot with this car when it first came out in 2006. It was only 1500 more then the accord I was looking at, at the time. This car is a lot more comfortable and a lot more fun to drive then the array of Asian cone cars out there. Its paid for now and I dont know what I am going to do if I ever have to go back to the cars we have been taught to believe are better quality. This car for me proves that to be totally the opposite in fact. 5 years and 80k miles later it is "by far" the best quality car I have ever owned. (Yes BMWs and Mercs are out of my price range)

Fast! Fun! Great looks! Very comfortable! Why wouldnt you want to drive one? The only answer I can think of is that you havent tried one yet! I traded a Lincoln in for my Top Banana R/T and have suffered NOTHING in the way of comfort, handling/performance or style. The only thing the Lincoln had that the Charger does not is good visibility. I can only say that to appreciate the excellent build, ride, and fun of this car you must test drive one. It ranks as the best car Ive ever owned, and Ive had a run at most of them out there!

I LOVE this car!! I wanted to get something with plenty of room but still sporty, my husband and I went shopping and we saw this red Charger RT and I automatically wanted to drive it! I pressed the gas and I had that feeling, The feeling of LOVE!!! I have had it for a year and I love it now as much as I did the day I drove it home.

First off I love this car to death. Unfortunately it has left me with a hunger for something even faster...Why?...Why NOT?!! They are very fast, too fast to let the wife drive it in fact. They are VERY customizable...take a look at the Diablo Tuner, CIA and GetRag rearends...cheap upgrades and you can take SRT8s especially after a custom tune. I have a fair amount done to mine and I dont know why people are complaining about the MPG. I figure Im turning nearly 400HP at the crank now and can STILL get 25-26MPG out of her with the MDS still active (you can shut it off with the Diablo if you want). No problems with it at all...None, its kinda strange not to have problems.

Wanted a reliable used car that was fun to drive. Found the "Top Banana" and fell in love. Great look. The car is comfortable and fun to drive. The power is what makes me smile every time I get in this car. The sound when you touch the gas the power that you FEEL when you hit the pedal. I debated with my wife about getting a Mustang. I am so glad I listened to her. This is truly a fun car. The attention that it gets from people that pass by isnt bad either.

I had never owned a Dodge product prior to this, was always a Chevy guy. This car takes the cake. A rear drive, powerful, affordable car! I had a small transmission fluid leak at approx 29,000, but that was a seal. Fuel mileage is very respectable for a car with almost 400 hp. Seats are quite comfortable. Took the car on a 4000 mile road trip with my then 13 yr tall son and dad. Everyone stayed comfortable. I have not seen the tire problems listed w what seem to be the SE Chargers. Stereo very nice. I have a K&N filter, and a part of flowmasters for exhaust (so its not quiet any more). Paint has held up very well. In snow this is a little tricky to drive. All in all I love this car.

I love this car. Smooth ride, clean and comfortable. I get nothing but positive feedback on the drive (I like to promote the car, so I toss people the keys all the time and say light er up!) The power is sheer is awesome. I went from a 1998 GP GT (first car) to this, and sweet Baby Jesus! Ive got a 5 year finance on this car, and if things go well, I WILL be buying another Charger (hopefully theyre still around). The only gripe is occasionally the car wont start properly til I tap the gas, but thats not too big a problem. Beautiful, powerful, aggressive looking fun car.

The Daytona, Top Banana Charger is a great car. It holds the road like glue. It makes driving fun. If we could only get rid of speed limits

I got this car in 2006, the RT model. At the time I wanted a mustang but I had to have a car with roomy backseat for my babies (furry ones). Also i am afraid of big bridges and this car flies over with ease. My stepmom loves the backseat roominess (she drives a cozy mercedes and I can tell she likes mine better). I drive like an old lady a lot but I love the pick up when I am passing and annoyed with other cars:) It is a large frame though and parking it is troublesome, have had a few dings. I was sold on the leather interior and heated seats. I dont like the gas mileage though. Overall I am pretty happy with this car. Watch out for me on the road at least once a month:)
