Overview & Reviews
The 2006 Dodge Charger is a new full-size sedan but shares many of its mechanical components with the Chrysler 300 and Dodge Magnum.
- Striking looks for a sedan, Hemi V8, firm handling, refined ride, roomy and comfortable interior, reasonably priced.
- Looks plain from behind, some low-grade interior plastics, hefty curb weight.

Finally - 2006 Dodge Charger
By dodged - November 19 - 6:46 pmThe 2006 Dodge Charger is finally the car Americans fell in love with 40 years ago.Front wheel drive has its place, but true American muscle requires RWD.This car is a hit. It is what Americans do best. The industry will spend 5 years catching up to this superior design, and when they do, Dodge will introduce the next generation. Finally, a car that in 5 years, I wont worry about trade in value(although I suspect it will be strong)because Ill keep it for the next generation of drivers in the family. Safe, affordable, great looking, roomy, comfortable, and a blast to drive.

One Awsome Ride - 2006 Dodge Charger
By Mark Wigley - October 29 - 3:00 amWhen I heard that this car was on tap from the boys at Mopar I got real interested. Since I missed having one of the original muscle cars I was ready. I have hated driving front wheel drive cars most of my life. When I saw the first new Charger and had a chance to drive it with the Hemi I had to have one. I am a automotive technician and have the opportunity to drive just about everything on the road. For the money, I dont think you can buy another car that is this well enginieered with the looks and performance that this car has.

Best Bang for the Buck - 2006 Dodge Charger
By Marlin - October 17 - 9:03 pmThis car is fun to drive. Love getting the neck snaps as I drive past, very good looking on the outside, and a clean looking interior, nothing over the top, clean and simple. As for performance, great! It has plenty of power for its size and averaged 24MPG on a cross country trip. Only downside is the Electronic Stability Program (ESP), it will feel like the car is bogging down, hard to get used to at first, but soon realize that its the computer keeping you from loosing control, it has loads of torgue.

Love my Hemi! - 2006 Dodge Charger
By CCCarter - September 14 - 11:50 amI love this car. I have driven a lot of different cars, but this one is the most fun, yet comfortable car I have ever owned. I love the feeling of it pushing me back in the seat when I punch the gas. I have had many comments on it and enjoy it when people tell me that it looks mean. It feels like a solid piece of machinery and handles great, even at very high speeds. I had a spoiler added to the back and had the windows tinted black to make it unique from others I have seen.

The research paid off - 2006 Dodge Charger
By marlin95 - August 18 - 3:03 amThis Charger RT has the power to get up and go when you feel the need, but will also give you the gas mileage when you feel the need. I test drove the 06 Mustang GT and found the performance, styling and curb appeal of the Charger was head and shoulders above the Mustang. I have not been able to fuel up without someone approaching me to comment the beautiful looks of the car.

The car of my youth is back! - 2006 Dodge Charger
By spoonerock - August 2 - 4:56 amThis is the car I have been waiting for almost 25 years. My 1st car was the original 1966 model (with the 381 engine). Later, I also owned a 1972. Neither car had the famous Hemi engine (most in fact did not). The Charger was always the car with attitude! A car that each owner could personalize to fit their taste. The 2006 model will do the same. Off the showroom floor it is a "head turner", and a great car to drive. The Charger has evolved as did those of us who drove our "muscle cars" in the 70s. Now we can have our family car and relive our youth at the same time. Its great to able to have your cake & eat it too!
