Ive had my new Malibu 2 months. After driving a pick-up for years I would say I am very pleased with my purchase. The car has excellent pick up when needed and a very smooth ride. The gas mileage has been great. So far 26 to 28 in the city and up to 36 on the highway (65 to 75mph)

My last car was an Honda Accord which was a very good car, but too much scheduled maintenance/expensive to get repaired. Looked and drove Malibu LS and I was sold and very glad I went with it (saved some cash too!). Just turned over 10k miles today and ZERO problems/issues. Car is solid and I cannot beleive the gas mileage for a 200hp 6-cyl (ave 28.8 miles per gallon city/highway. The good old USA is back! I was very skeptical at first moving back to American cars again, but I should not be. With what is going on in the world today, Im very proud to say I have an American owned companies car! GM keep up the great work! You now have my support!

  • Good buy. - 2005 Chevrolet Malibu

After driving this car for a couple weeks I feel the car is considerably under rated by the editors. Drives great, overall quiet smooth operation, brakes have excellent feel and action. The car makes driving fun again. The entire car has the quality and feel of a higher priced vehicle. A joy to drive.

  • I love My Chevy Malibu! - 2005 Chevrolet Malibu

I just bought my first Chevy two weeks ago. I had Toyotas for about 20 years and then I had a Ford Ranger truck. My truck got rear ended and was in the shop. I got a rental and it happened to be a Chevy Malibu. I had it for about a week and fell in love with it. At the same time Chevy had the employee discount price going on so I decided to see if I could get one. I also got the choice of a $2000 rebate or 0% financing so I chose the 0% financing. I am thrilled with my new car.

  • This car will suprise you! - 2005 Chevrolet Malibu

I was looking for a vehicle that got better gas mileage than my old Ranger, and ended up with so much more. This car has a great interior with very comfortable seats. It handles great on the road, but the electronic power steering is almost too good. You have to pay extra attention to avoid accidental drift. The extra amenities that come standard are incredible. Im 64", so the power adjustable pedals and telescoping steering wheel are GREAT. And I was absolutely shocked at the acceleration. When you put your foot down, this car goes. And when other cars tend to whine out, this car just keeps going. So fast in fact, that when accelerating out of turns you must really be on your toes.

So far so good with 1700 miles, flawless performance, fun to drive. Very fast with good acceleration. It is my wifes car and she feels very safe and comfortable in the malibu. Of course, I drive it whenever she lets. The ride and performance are really great for the money. Overall a great car.

This car performs a lot better than expected. New design is super. V6 power is a light weight car like this! Zoooms!

  • GM still remains no 1 - 2005 Chevrolet Malibu

Unlike some of the critics, I like the feel and smoothness of the ride. I dont expect a Nascar ride, ie, not a lot of speed. It has enough pickup to get up to the speed laws. Got a good employee discount and better yet no hassling. It turns good at corners. So far, and too soon to tell, it has no mechanical problems. So I would recommend giving it a try. GM is not all that bad, foreign cars have their quirks. Gas mileage is as good as any car depending on drivers habits. Tires are good, but you may want better if you drive a lot in snow. Like the drivers hooked mat, keeps from moving around back of pedals.

I Got a great deal on this car compared to the competitors. GM incentives saved me 25% off MSRP. Great ride and performance. Extrememly pleased with 200hp 6 cyl engine that gets over 37 mph on highway!

  • Very much surprised at 4 cylinder performance - 2005 Chevrolet Malibu

I am very happy and satisfied with my Malibu. I have arthritis, and found that the adjustments to all hand and foot controls made it easy to get in and out on drivers side. I am an old Chevy truck manager for a dealerahip in Long Island, NY and am happy that GM has put in coveniences for comfort and easy handling.
