Overview & Reviews
The side curtain airbag option now includes front-seat side-impact airbags.
- Pros: Smooth ride quality, above-average fuel economy with V6, plenty of passenger and cargo space, ample safety and convenience features, innovative remote start feature.

Great Car - 2005 Chevrolet Malibu
By SPCfromAZ - February 19 - 10:00 amMy Malibu is a great sedan for comfortable and economical transportation. The engine is a real world work horse that has good torque and all the pick up you need. Theres no apparent performance degradation when pulling the AC and it can climb the steepest hills without having to drop gears and run the engine hard. Runs on regular unleaded with no performance loss. Gas mileage is great. On an all freeway trip driving 1,499 mi from WA to AZ I used 43.8 gallons of gas for 34.2 mpg. Average speed on the info readout was 69 mph, on the highway I usually had the cruise set at 76mph.

New Chevrolet Malibu LT - 2005 Chevrolet Malibu
By t34 pilot - August 27 - 10:00 amThis car is great - the seats are beautiful. Fuel economy for the power is better than my 4cyl - especially on the highway! Took a while, but now I really like the look of the car. Mine is white w/neutral leather interior. Nice! Problems are lots of little rattles which drive me nuts. Wish the car had more "status". Starting to see some base models as rental. Chev should only use the "Classic" as rentals to elevate this models status. Overall an extremely good value, content & performance, & reliability for the buck!

Not too shaby for the price - 2005 Chevrolet Malibu

2005 Chevrolet Malibu LS - 2005 Chevrolet Malibu
By Tony - January 25 - 2:03 amSo far (Ive only had the car for five weeks and 1100 miles) this car is great. Its very quiet and smooth. Interior comfort is great due to the power seat; adjustable pedals; telescoping and tilting wheel (with all those features theres no way not to find a comfortable position). Fuel economy for a 3000+ lb sedan is great (I average about 27.3 mpg overall). The only thing I think could be changed is the gas pedal. To me, it feels like you have to push it down a little too much before it throttles up. Theres plenty of power after you do, but it feels like it could use some adjusting. Overall, my wife and I enjoy the car a great deal. You can feel the touch of a Saab in the drive.

America is coming back - 2005 Chevrolet Malibu
By mike - October 24 - 12:50 amAfter being shut out in the cold for over 3 solid decades, the American auto industry is taking an about face with customer satisfaction and all out quality. Not a bad word to say about the Malibu, smooth ride, great start up, superb gas mileage and handling. Hope that things come around more so in the future and will be looking forward to support our American economy again!!
