Overview & Reviews
The supercharged Impala SS joins the lineup for 2004. Besides offering 240 horsepower, the SS features a tightened suspension to allow it to take corners with a bit more gusto. Base and LS models have redesigned bench and bucket seats, and a sport appearance package is now available on the base sedan.
- Six-passenger seating availability, good crash test scores, torquey V6 engines.
- Vague steering, soggy suspension on base and LS models, low-buck interior.

Sporty Family Car - 2004 Chevrolet Impala
By bkgg - December 3 - 2:00 amI went from a mini van to the "hot" sporty family car! I had a Dodge minivan and had nothing but problems! The heater never worked! It squeaked like a dogs toy anytime you turned the wheel and/or hit any type/size of a bump in the road. Im back to GM products and staying! Built to last!

My New SS Impala - 2004 Chevrolet Impala
By Elliot Dulberger - November 3 - 10:00 amHave only had it a week or so but since it is Chevys newest Impala wanted to share my views on it. Traded a 02 LS Impala with only 7800 miles that I truly enjoyed but had to have the newest model. I like the heavier feel to the SS and altho I am not a lead foot I can tell it has power to spare compared to the 02. The concept of the SS has always been performance and I think this car will give this to those who desire it.

Best Chevy to date - 2004 Chevrolet Impala
By JOHNNY B - October 23 - 7:12 pmI have owned a few Chevys in my time. This one is great. It came with factory tinted windows and a faux cloth top. The car runs great, 33 mpg on the highway and 22 in the city. The 3.4 liter engine has enough get up and go. The interior is roomy and comfortable. I would recommend this car to anyone.

Nice big car - 2004 Chevrolet Impala
By johnny b - July 25 - 8:24 pmI bought a base impala with a fake rag top which really sets the car off. I always get 33 mph on long trips and 23 in the city. I have a terrible back problem and this car does not hurt me on long trips. Plenty of room inside and the trunk. I was not even a bit hesitant in the purchase. The light driftwood metalic type paint job shines like day one. Love, love, love this car.

Excellent Value - 2004 Chevrolet Impala
By LordDash - July 17 - 10:00 amI purchased an SS model Impala (when I was actually only looking to buy an LS) when i realized the dealership I was at had over $7000 in rebates. I had never test driven the SS, so when I took it for a spin, I loved the performance and the handling. It is lightning quick, and quite agile for a large sedan.

Chevrolet Impala LS 8900 V6 - 2004 Chevrolet Impala
By Sonia Bell - July 12 - 10:00 amThis car handles with ease. Nice smooth ride. We compared it with the Honda Accord EX-V6. They are almost identical cars, but we saved a lot of money. The Chevy has a longer wheel base for a smoother ride. Love the light beige color interior. We were very surprized at how the domestic cars have improved and with the extended warranty coverage, how can you lose! We were sold on the car after test driving it and comparing it to the Honda Accord. I can see savings in the bank. I like cars that are a little more streamline, therefore Impala LS beat out the rounded, chunky Honda. We have been brainwashed for foreign autos, keeps jobs here in America.
