Very Good Car - 2010 Chevrolet Equinox
By Steve - November 21 - 2:00 amWe have had the car just over a year and have 16,000 on it now. Highway driving has resulted in 19 mpg (very high Kansas winds) at 78 mph, to 34 mpg with a tail wind at 65 mph. My wife loves this car, and I wish it were bigger. But, it is such an improvement over the 07 piece of crap equinox that we owned briefly.

Great for tall drivers - 2010 Chevrolet Equinox
By Lou Gebler - November 9 - 2:00 amBeing 66", finding a comfortable car is tough. I tried most of the crossovers and bought my Equinox because I loved the room it gave me. Even with the front seat all the way back, passengers behind me have plenty of room. Its a great car for longer drives. Ive been very impressed with it, except the mileage isnt as good as advertised. We also own a 2010 Hyundai Tucson which has a lot more pep than the Equinox but isnt nearly as comfortable or as nice. Chevy has so far impressed me with this car!

Plenty of minor defects - 2010 Chevrolet Equinox
By julia - November 2 - 2:00 amI bought my "dream Equinox" in December 2009 from a dealer in serramonte boulevard, colma last december 2009. It was fun to drive but in May 2010 they sent a letter telling that there was a minor recall for the defrost system, that was my 1st disappointment, and in October 2010, the lumbar adjustment was broken, it didnt work at all, the mechanic told me that the screw was sheared off, I was in a total disaster, because it never happened to my other Japanese cars, plus I have a back pain, so the lumber adjustment is so crucial to me, I have to say, I will not recommend this car at all, I will get back to my Honda or Mitsubishi, they are more reliable than this car.

inside overhead shield - 2010 Chevrolet Equinox
By P. Johnson - October 6 - 2:00 amMy equinox is 1 month old. The interior shield is sagging. Dealer says they just received a bulletin on it and will call me later today. It sags about 2 inches.

good car - 2010 Chevrolet Equinox
By duet - September 28 - 2:00 amI bought the 2010 Equinox in November of 2009 and have put over 22,000 miles on it so far. This is my first SUV and I test drove all of the others before putting my money here. I love how the car drives, the ride is smooth and it is very comfortable on long rides. Took it across country to Az the first month and loved how it handled. Fuel economy actually has increased as I drive it. I average about 90/day and it is at 27.3 mpg now.

Good vehicle but flawed. - 2010 Chevrolet Equinox
By Turgon - September 12 - 2:00 amI really enjoy the ride quality and the impressive performance of the 4 cyl. Fuel economy is good for this class of vehicle, but certainly not the advertised EPA mpgs unless you consciously baby it and coast in eco mode. Comfort and passenger room are impressive, but at the expense of the rear cargo space. I have concerns regarding the build quality and reliability. The interior plastics are of low quality and scratch easily! I had to bring the vehicle back to the dealer to fix a problem with "frozen" climate and radio controls. I have to return to the dealer again to fix a broken clip in the rear hatch and a problem with the driver lumbar support (makes clicking sound).

Disappointed - 2010 Chevrolet Equinox
By AD - September 7 - 5:33 pmComfortable to drive except for arm rest is too low. Exterior and interior looks nice. Ok gas mileage, average @24-26mpg. At just 20,000 miles, the timing chain, timing chain tensioner, and serpentine belt needs replaced. Dealer tech stated service bulletin issued for timing chain. Had recall for control panel completed but backlighting still dims periodically. May regret purchasing.

Directions on Navigation system - 2010 Chevrolet Equinox
By donnar - September 3 - 4:54 pmThe directions on the navigation system are lacking. Whoever wrote the book was taking short cuts from step one to step 5. Leaving you to guess how the heck to get to step 5. Would love to get some GOOD directions on how to program the radio and the gps unit.

Dissapointed texan - 2010 Chevrolet Equinox
By Marc - August 30 - 1:18 pmWe were considering the Equinox or the Mazda6 but my wife and 14 year daughter liked the shape of the Equinox better than the Mazda so figure what we got. We got this vehicle in April and so far we had 2 trips to the dealer service center. First time the warning lights in the cluster looked like a Christmas tree all kind of warning lights popped at the same time, they had to replace the master cylinder (Took 3 days). Second, last Sunday the car just went dead, no power at all and the key was stuck in the cylinder, had to call road service. Was at the dealership for 5 days and nobody could figure what happened. We got it back but I am afraid that it could happen again. Should buy a Mazda!

Good SUV - 2010 Chevrolet Equinox
By adam206 - August 27 - 10:32 pmOverall we like the equinox. we have the available rear view camera and we think that is a great feature. when i plug my iPod touch into it tho it doesnt always work and says its safe to disconnected. also there is something wrong it, if you are coming to a stop (or slow down) then press the gas to speed back up it hesitates or something. we took it to the dealer and said they duplicate the problem. otherwise no problems.
