  • Bestest vehicle I ever owned - 2005 Chevrolet Colorado
    By -

OK. I owned a 1987 VW Golf in the 90s. 1995 BMW 325is in late 90s. Ford sport trac 2001. Toyota Tercel 1993. Toyota Corolla 2005. Any finally my beloved 2005 4 door colorado 2-wheel drive. This is a perfect vehicle. Not too small, not too big. Looks good and aggressive. Engine sounds good, sporty, reliable. 5 cylinder engine sounds weird but it works great. Compared to my friends who have 6 or 8 cylinder trucks this truck is very easy on gasoline. I get 27 miles/gallon on freeway, and 22 on streets. Dont forget this is a truck, and you can do all things a truck can do with this awsome truck. I bouight the truck in 2007. It had 50,000 milies on it. Now it has 99,500.

  • I love it - 2005 Chevrolet Colorado

I bought this Colorado used 2 years ago. Other than normal servicing, all I have replaced is the battery at 5 years. I drove it home (550 miles) in a snow storm and got 24.0 on the first tank and 24.4 mpg on the second. In town I get between 20 and 21. The work truck the seats are non-reclining and terrible. I replaced them with a used set of very comfortable LT seats. Traction on the OEM General Ameritracs is terrible. I now have 74,000 miles and can not wear them out. I bought two General AT22 for this winter and the traction is unbelievable. Ill buy two more as soon as I wear out the original Ameritracs. Im looking at a 2006 for my daughter this week. Great truck!!!

  • Nice but not like my prior 1997 c/k1500 - 2005 Chevrolet Colorado

I wished I never traded my 1997 CK1500. That truck gave me hell of problems but was worth the 5.7 performance engine was issues were cleared under warranty. Not the fuel costs though. I put over 300k on that truck and decided to buy the 2005 Chevy Colorado with many of the bells and whistles to satisfy driving needs. Well, I made several complaints on the craftmanship build of the metal of this truck. It flexes way to much IMO on the highways. Got just thank you but Colorados are safe. Other than that, absolutely no mechanical problems, or body. Fuel cost vs my 97 difference is 3 gals per commute day. Performance, you can live with it for near v6 type engine I got.

  • 2005 that has given me no problems - 2005 Chevrolet Colorado

My daughter and I fell in love with the Colorado crew cab on first sight and I have not been disappointed. We drove it home the same day we laid eyes on it. Did the recall on the brake lights and dealt with the ac switch but I have had no other problems. It is a perfect size for me and my big yellow dog that thinks the truck belongs to him. Gas mileage is much better when I pay attention to my speed.

Great little truck. i have the sport (zq8) extended cab 4 door 3.5L. the 220 horses makes it move pretty nicely. very roomy interior and much cooler looking than the S-10s

  • No second guess on this buy - 2005 Chevrolet Colorado

Had this truck for 8 months now and Im still surprised at the gas mileage. Best looking truck on the road. This much power for a 5cylinder? You have got to be kidding.

  • Great Small Truck - 2005 Chevrolet Colorado
    By -

I leased this truck over a full size truck for the cost, better mileage and added space in the garage. It was a great choice as it has met every task given with a far less expense of the full size trucks. I have pulled trailers, hauled materials and even been off road a few times all the while satisfied with the purchase. Given gas prices I love being able to drive a truck and getting 18 mpg in the city. I wished I would have purshased the truck instead of leasing it. I definitely would have kept it.

  • Works fine for me - 2005 Chevrolet Colorado

I have owned my pickup for 2 years now, and I have only had to take it in once for a fuel sensor. Other than that I have had no problems with it. Its a great little commuter and play truck. I have even added several of my own feaures that was so easy to instal on this particular model (C B radio and anntennas, touch screen DVD/radio, side running lights, cold air intake). I love this truck and so does every one else in the neighborhood.

Truck was my office. Put over 103,735 miles on in two and half yrs. Rear ujoint only thing replaced besides tires. From the hottest humid weather to -12 actual temp no problems starting. Rolled begining of feb 08 on to roof. Truck totaled. Cab held up with windshield spider cracking in one corner and thats it. Walked away no sctraches. Drove truck home when rolled onto wheels.

  • Outstanding - 2005 Chevrolet Colorado

Recently purchased this vehicle after much research and I am highly impressed with this machine. External looks are impressive. Inside design suits my taste to a T. Sound system is excellent. Could not be happier with the combination of power and fuel economy of the 5 cylinder engine and 4 speed automatic. Price was also right.
