Silver Bullet - 2005 Chevrolet Colorado
By S W T - September 2 - 4:37 pmThis truck is a huge improvement over my 95 S-10. Much larger, taller, tighter, more powerful. The 5-cyl, 3500 motor is responsive. Not race like performance (it is a truck), but quick when needed. The transmission does tend to search for the right gear too much. The truck is extremely quiet, has a solid but comfortable ride, and has adequate gas milage for a mid size pickup. Making the Z-71 suspension available in a 2WD is a good move by Chevrolet. The package makes the truck look much better without the expense of 4WD on a vehicle that will not be taken off road.

Great truck - 2005 Chevrolet Colorado
By JIMW - August 31 - 11:50 pmWhen the Colorado came out, I had a ZR2 S10 I thought I would never part with. After driving and looking the Colorado over I bought one. Good gas mileage, smooth ride, and when you want to get up and go, it takes off smooth and fast. I am impressed with it. No trouble with it. I have had it 6 months got the Z-71 4x4 try one out.

Like a Rock! Z71 Colorado - 2005 Chevrolet Colorado
By Kevin - August 19 - 6:01 pmPlain and simple truck inside. No problems with layout of panels and radio. Outside looks great. Rough and ready. Just to give you an idea. I was leaving work and I witnessed a gentlemen standing in the parking lot saying as I pulled out "Nice looking truck"! Chevy got it right with this truck. You cant go wrong. I couldnt pass up the employee pricing and got a loaded Z71, AT, 4 dr crew cab. You cant be the MPG. I am getting 20 in town and 23 on the hiway.

Very Good Truck - 2005 Chevrolet Colorado
By Stevereno - August 17 - 4:15 pmI got the Z85 LS automatic with the I5 engine. The truck is very useful. Lots of room on the inside for the 4 door crew cab. Very attactive appearance. You can beat this truck for the money. I would have spent a good bit more on a Dakota.

First New Truck - 2005 Chevrolet Colorado
By Zach - August 9 - 2:46 pmI purchased this truck after having a 1991 Nissan Ext Cab 2WD and it is great. I average 22 MPG, mostly on the highway. I use the OnStar to run fire/EMS calls to find addresses. I love it. I may make aftermarket changes for performance, but its great right off the lot.

Great truck, great mileage - 2005 Chevrolet Colorado
By teflonjpr2 - August 6 - 12:01 amI purchased the truck after much research. Wanted the utility of a truck, something that could tow a 16ft boat, yet had acceptable mileage. I have had the truck for a month, and love it. I have put 4000 miles on it, and routinely get 25+ mpg (even with the 5 cyl). I have seen others complaining about the mileage, but dont know what differential they have, and recommend at least the 3.73, and I have the 3.42. The ride and acceleration are excellent, even compared to the car I was driving before. The steering is a bit soft in tight turns, but no worse than any other trucks I have owned. Overall, I couldnt find a better deal out there.

90 day review - 2005 Chevrolet Colorado
By scotth - October 23 - 9:46 pmNo problems, plenty of get up and go. Just carried a load of sand and mulch with no problems. Engine runs smooth. Nothing fancy, just a nice little truck. About $4K less than a Tacoma. MPG 17-21, with very little highway driving. Time will tell if it will last the 8-10 years I keep my vehicles.

I like it - 2005 Chevrolet Colorado
By Sam C - March 28 - 8:46 amI really like the fuel economy this truck delivers. Even when towing my trailer, it still does quite well. The 225 hp engine is a nice performer. I love the yellow paint and the sport interior.

I love my truck - 2005 Chevrolet Colorado
By allan - March 12 - 7:16 pmHad my calorado for 2 months now. Excellent little truck with plenty of power. Rides a little stiff. Sharp looking ride though. Interior is cheap looking, but otherwise an all around nice truck. No regrets, yet!! Try one, I think you,ll like it!
