This Year's Model Updates:

A six-speed SMG (Sequential Manual Gearbox) transmission is now optional on select 3 Series models, while a five-speed Steptronic automatic is now offered with the 330i Performance Package. Rain-sensing wipers, automatic headlights and hands-free wireless cell phone capability are now standard features on the sedan and wagon. There are new alloy wheel designs for the 325i, 325xi and 330xi Sport Package. All 330i sedans get a revised grille -- a new black grille instead of silver, with a lower grille combination of body color and black. All 3 Series coupes and convertibles receive a revised front fascia, plus new front and rear bumper contours, Adaptive headlamps and taillights and new designs for both the standard and optional wheels. Interior changes are limited to a revised climate control panel. Finally, Sirius Satellite Radio is now available as an accessory on all 3 Series models.

Pros:
  • Available all-wheel drive for sedan and wagon.
  • Luxurious, powerful, exceptional road manners
Cons:
  • Pricey for its market segment, limited rear-seat space and cargo capacity.

My wife loves it. It is very important.

  • My personal opinion of the 2004 325ci - 2004 BMW 3-Series

Even though BMW exterior design continues to disappoint me, they remain the best handling, best balanced automobiles on the road today. The current 325 convertible may seem underpowered on paper, but is a joy to drive quickly, which cannot be said for some of its competitors (Audi A4, MB C series). The 325 version is reasonable value for money (I picked mine up in Europe)and drives like a BMW should. If you want a comfortable highway cruiser, or a car with all the latest gizmos, look elsewhere. If you want a car that enjoys being driven hard, and has great feedback through its brakes, steering and suspension, stick with the Bimmer.

First of all I love the new front make over. This car turns heads. I was looking at a g35, but a friend point a good thing out to me. It is a nissan. This car makes you feel like you are part of the road. You can be going 80 and feel like you are standing still. You can get into alot of trouble with this car. If you want a car that mixes a ultimate sports car with style and class. Get the 330 ci. The step-tronic trany kicks a&*. Might be a little slower, if you are looking for a race car buy a m3. Nothing like a Bimmer

Im still smiling after 400 new car miles. The 330cic clutch grabbed too high for my liking; the 5speed Steptronic was the best way to go for me. This car is strong and wants to go. There are several defects on my vehicle. My vehicle has Premium Package, Sport Package, heated seats, and metallic paint. The dealer cut the price by about $1,600 off MSRP, included rubber BMW floor mats and wheel locks. This car is not made for bigger people, people 250+ lbs. and taller than 6-2 ought to think twice about this car. Top down driving is great at 40F, 70mph on the freeway. Its difficult to keep this car around the speed limit.

This is the best vehicle I have ever had. Yes, it costs more than the average, but you get a lot more too. The differences are subtle but effective. Most people wont notice the precision and sophistication of the smooth-as-butter five speed manual or the tenacity of the cars suspension through an off ramp. Sadly, most of the capabilities of this car will go unused by 80 percent of the people who buy the 330i. For the other 20%, we have explored the limits and understand what makes a BMW the Ultimate Driving Machine.

I just purchased my car and I am in love - sounds pretty silly, but it is the truth. The car is fun to drive and I feel very safe in my new car. All around the new BMW 3 series is a 10!

TEST DROVE AND LOOKED AT MANY VEHICLES IN THE 330S CLASS, BMW IS DEFINITELY THE ULTIMATE DRIVING MACHINE. SOME OF ITS COMPETITORS HAVE MORE GIZMOS AND LUXURY FEATURES BUT YOU CARES! THIS CAR GETS RIGHT TO THE POINT; THE FUN OF DRIVING. IF YOU LIKE TO DRIVE THIS IS THE VEHICLE FOR YOU. EFFORTLESS POWER FROM THE IN-LINE 6 CYLINDER. REAR WHEEL DRIVE IS AWESOME; FORGET AWD OR FRONT WHEEL DRIVE - SUCK IT UP! DEFINITELY CAN SEE WHY THE 3 SERIES HAS BEEN VOTED TO CAR & DRIVERS TEN BEST LIST FOR 13 STRAIGHT YEAR. 5 SPEED STEPTRONIC AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION WORKS SURPRISINGLY WELL FOR AN AUTOMATIC, WANTED 6 SPEED MANUAL BUT TRAFFIC CONDITIONS AROUNG ME ARE TOUGH.

  • Love this car but reliability not great - 2004 BMW 3-Series

There are 3 things I love about this car: 1) Handling and performance, its a dream to drive on freeways and windy roads. 2) Interior is simple and elegant - I prefer BMW interior of this model period vs the newer BMW design which is unnecessarily complex. 3) Seats are firm and very comfortable for long rides. I sat in the back seat of a friends BMW 3-series of same year and the surprisingly comfortable ride in the back if you want a smaller car. It would be tight squeeze though for a guy over 6 ft tall but more room than Mercedes C-class in same price range.

This is the most amazing car I have ever owned, my lucky number must be 21. Performance is incredible, acceleration is tops. Its like driving a race car, my dream as a little boy. But why are there so few cup holders. BMW you rocked my world.

I bought mine CPO premium and sports package black on black with 39,000 miles in 2007. Ive always owned Japanese and my last car was a 1997 Integra GSR. But I needed a 4-door for the ease of carrying more than one passenger, so I bought this Bimmer even though I had trepidation about its reliability as I found this particular year and model to be the best looking 4-door sport sedan out there (even now in 2009 IMO). Two years into the ownership and I have not had any major issue. I recently lost my job I dont miss my job but I missed not making the daily commute in my 325i. Thats how much I love this car, how about that!
