What A Fun Mini Van - 2003 Volkswagen Eurovan
By OT 62 - December 22 - 2:00 amBought the MV Weekender Package. 4 years and 60,000 miles later couldnt be happier with the car. There isnt a more fun minivan out there. Kids just love it. No complaints, holding up well. Premium gas is only negative I can think off.

Exceptional Van - 2003 Volkswagen Eurovan
By EurovanFan - December 8 - 1:36 pmThe VW Eurovan is the best minivan to hit the USA. Unfortunately it was killed by the high cost of manufacturing it in Germany and the low value of the dollar. The 2003 model was the last one imported here, but it is still available in Europe for the equivalent of about $45,000. It will outperform any other "standard model" minivan on the market. And it is known to outlast them as well. Think of this vehicle as an example of good German engineering and teutonic toughness. We refer to it as our "Fahrfegnugen Schleppenvagon" and enjoy it on trips immensely.

Wont Be Any More - T5 Unlikely Here - 2003 Volkswagen Eurovan
By mjo_ai_net - December 27 - 2:00 amPhotos of VWs new T5 abound on the net, but I doubt youll see one in the US. With VW bringing the MicroBus, youll have to decide whether the last Eurovan is for you We purchased a 2003 GLS (built in April 2002) & the Eurovans overall utility is setting in. The Eurovan has certainly made errands & family trips much easier. It rides & handles much better than its height suggests, & build quality is high. We are impressed with its ease around town: power to accelerate/pass, no harder to park/backup than our 4Runner, & right size for a family of 5. All of this could be said about the vanilla minivans. But, the Eurovan has a niche & one youll recognize

Unique and spacious - 2003 Volkswagen Eurovan
By alias alias - September 21 - 10:00 amThis van is unique. You wont see yourself coming dowm the road every few minutes. It is very spacious and has surprisingly good pickup on the highway. The seating is upright, giving you a commanding view of the road, yet it has a very comfortable ride, unlike the SUVs with similar seating positions. It also handles amazing well for a tall vehicle.

Would never buy a Eurovan again - 2003 Volkswagen Eurovan
By Danarielle - January 29 - 12:46 amThis van has been nothing but trouble. It had brake problems that required towing the first day I bought it. Its air conditioning has malfunctioned twice and the dealer cannot fix it. Its electrical system malfunctioned (no speedometer/odomotor/etc) and it took the dealer a month to fix it. Its windshield is now loose and it turns out it is a PPG windshield not even an original Volkswagen part. A simple recommendation -- do not buy this van!

Love my weekender its fun to drive - 2003 Volkswagen Eurovan
By JB - September 18 - 6:04 amWish they would bring it back to the states. Great for weekend getaways and a portable office while parking along the California coast on highway 1 near Big Sur. I bought a 2016 Mercedes Benz Metris cargo for the heavy work but, its not as nice. Ill never get rid of the European Weekender.

4 faults at 3000 miles! - 2003 Volkswagen Eurovan
By Mikesan - July 10 - 10:00 amI wish I could love it. At 3000 miles I have the following problems with my 03 MV: Fuzzy sounding speakers, Heater/AC blower does not work, driver side window washer doesnt work, peeling plastic on the driver side door handle. I actually prefer my 2000 GMC Safari for comfort, but its near the end of the warranty cycle, so its for sale. Keeping the VW because of the still-fresh warranty.
