luvmytoyota - 1997 Toyota T100
By VT truck - September 15 - 2:00 amToyota has built a good truck. I have driven my truck across country twice with a full load, and I never had a problem. I have 76,000 on the truck now and I have only had to do the routine work to keep it running great. The driver seat can get a little uncomfortable on long drives.

Oilfield Workhorse T-100 - 1997 Toyota T100
By New Mexico T-100 - January 21 - 2:00 amWhat can I say. I have abused this vehicle since I bought it new. I put 22k miles on in the 1st 3 months. I have hauled heavy oilfield equipment, towed trailers. Run through mud, chains on all 4. Twice as many hours including idling on worksite as miles. It does not burn a drop of oil. I have replaced the clutch, new brakes, muffler, timing belt, etc. Wonderful vehicle. I averaged between 20 and 26 MPG over its great life. Slightly smaller than full size, but tire tracks match well in deep mud with other pick- ups. Can not say the same for the Tacoma. I liked so much, I bought a new Crew Cab Tundra 2004.

97 T-00 SR5 EX CAB 4wd - 1997 Toyota T100
By whatagreattruck - June 28 - 10:00 amThe T-100 has proven to be a very reliable truck. It is a little smaller than a full size Ford or Chevy, which is nice if you dont need that much room but want something bigger than a compact truck, it also fits in a small garage a little better.

1997 Toyota T100 SR5 w/208,000 miles alr - 1997 Toyota T100
By gene - February 14 - 2:06 amI cant wait to say I have a quarter of a million miles on my truck. I drive it everyday both city and highway. I changed the front brakes twice and they are not any where needed yet. I changed the rears a third time only because the emergency brake cable froze. I have had two mufflers one I paid for and the second one was replaced by the dealer because they said any repairs they did was warrantied for life. No lightbulbs needed yet but I did revert to White Lights. Has the best headlights I have ever had on any vehicle. Rides great even on still original shocks. Minimum rust which I am getting fixed. Back bumper also needs replaced - rust. Overall I have been very pleased with my truck.

By Mooker - January 9 - 10:00 amMy toyota has been a good little truck the only thing that has been wrong on it the brakes are not all that good and there has been a check engine sensor gone bad on it that the dealership wants 350$ dollars to fix it and that is out of the world . the truck overall i rate it at a 8.5 the truck is alsome fun to drive good power gas mileage could be a little bit better but all and all great all the way

Wow - 1997 Toyota T100
By Bill - October 28 - 2:43 pmI bought this truck only a month ago, as a weekend toy/home maint vehicle. However, I have fallen in love with it and want to drive it all the time! Its my second Toyota and not my last. It has 193,000 miles on it, but looks great in/out, no leaks, no smoking. I was looking for a Tacoma when I stumbled onto this truck, this truck should have been better publicized!

Best Vehicle Ive Ever Owned - 1997 Toyota T100
By Stephen - February 24 - 12:23 amI bought this vehicle new and have put nearly every mile on it. The truck has far exceeded my expectations. It is now over 11 years old and has 215,000 miles on it. Outside of normal maintenance items, the only things Ive replaced are the drivers seat belt, a $30 switch to the 4wd solenoid, and the CV boots. Thats it! The truck averages 20 mpg which I consider great for a nearly full size truck with 4wd. It does have the manual transmission and Im still on the first clutch but shifting is starting to get rougher (synchronizer?) Driving at 65 mph with no A/C, it gets 21 to 23 mpg. I would recommend this vehicle to anyone looking for a reliable truck. I wish they still made them!

Almost perfect - 1997 Toyota T100
By bob - October 18 - 8:00 amIve owned this T100 for 8 years and have had not problems to speak of. I live in the mountains in Colorado with snow on the ground 6 months of the year. The 4 wheel drive works much better than the American work vehicles that I drive. It now has 225,000 miles on it and it runs and looks great. I would definitely buy another T100 if they offered at V8 version. My next truck will be a Tundra with a V8.
