  • THE BIG LET DOWN - 2006 Mercedes-Benz M-Class
    By -

This car is a big let down we are so done with this car, the transmission makes so much noise the shifter is in a bad position, the loud noise from the engine, we have had the car serviced so many times trying to find out about the engine problem, slipping of the transmission. Our 98 ml320 gave us no problems, we should have kept it with 135k miles, sadly disappointed

  • More Comfortble Than The E-Class - 2006 Mercedes-Benz M-Class

I traded my 2003 E-320 for the new ML and I immediately noticed that this SUV rides better than the E!

  • ML350 vs. the Bimmer X5 and Lexus GX470 - 2006 Mercedes-Benz M-Class
    By -

MB has hit a home run with the 2006 ML350. Weve clocked about 1300 miles on our 2006 ML350 and are very impressed. It surpasses the BMW X5 in every capacity and Lexus in all but one capacity (ease of use of Lexus navigation is far superior than MBs). Mileage is excellent, the engine is capable and very quiet, comfortable yet sporty ride and much better looking than any other 5 seater luxury SUV in the market. Dont bother with the ML500 ... its a much thirstier and heavier beast. The ML250 with its 268 bhp engine is very capable and quick. Very well put together, fit and finish is unparalleled.

  • One Nice Ride! - 2006 Mercedes-Benz M-Class
    By -

I traded in my 2003 E500 for this ML500. I loved my previous Mercedes but when I test drove the M500 I was in love!! This vehicle is awsome!! I have had it a month and I just cannot believe how much I enjoy driving it! It drives as good as my E but has more room and the quality of workmanship is even better!! I cant wait for Spring to take it out for country drives!!

  • Looking Forward - 2006 Mercedes-Benz M-Class

Cant wait for the turbo-diesel variant. Great vehicle. Best Ive ever owned. Best Aspect : Ride/Drive quality. Drivers position excellent to adapt to any driver. After 6 hour drive, feel like youve only driven 1 hour. Economy - 21 at highway speeds. Good for an SUV Worst Aspect : Eats tires. 25k and had to replace all 4. Needs a full size spare mounted beneath vehicle instead of space saver in trunk

  • Needs a little work. - 2006 Mercedes-Benz M-Class
    By -

After driving this vehicle with a slipping transmission and screeching brakes for the last 4 months along with 5 trips to the dealership I think MB needs to work out the kinks. Although, when it does work, it performs beautifully. I just hope Mercedes starts making them a little better.

  • Family Car?? - 2006 Mercedes-Benz M-Class

We have had this vehicle for just over a year. Overall we are happy with it with the exception of a few things. The biggest issue we have is rear seating for kids. Many of us buy these vehicles because of its safety and frankly it rates phenomenal at the tests. The issue we have is with 2 small children(6 & 8) leg room is non existent due to us having to move our seat back (6 ft 2) but their legs do not hang over the seat. Parents may want to keep this in mind. Service at MB is horrid here in South Florida. The car is a canon, feels safe, turns on a dime, overtakes with no hesitation, turns heads, again it is safe. I would certainly recommend this vehicle to any of you.

  • Better Luck Last Year - 2006 Mercedes-Benz M-Class

I had a 1999, then a 2002 ML 320. We set our hopes too high for the 2006. So far we have been less than satisfied. It has been the shop for erratic transmission shifting in stop and go traffic, and the transmission is noisy when shifting into park, reverse etc. Lots of plastic, you can see the Chrysler influence. No additional storage under seats. On the open road, the ride is smooth and more quiet than previous models. Hope they figure it out because the overall design is great. I should have kept the the 02 at least until they worked out the kinks. Although, we may have a lemon on our hands.

  • ML500 - 2006 Mercedes-Benz M-Class

The ride is very smooth. Its very spacious fon the inside. Its easy to park, and/or able to be u-turned in a small space. It doesnt run, but instead flies, while kissing the road. Its a must-have toy, though it gives only 20.5 mpg on the highway.

  • Fine looking piece of junk! - 2006 Mercedes-Benz M-Class
    By -

This cars exceptional styling belies the fact that just about everything that could go wrong with it will! It regularly goes into the shop with the unexpected. Brakes lasted less than 1 year. Transmission dealybop less than 3 months. Many more repairs----all costly. Never buy this car without an extended warranty!
