Love my I30 - 1998 Infiniti I30
By Scott M - September 15 - 9:16 pmBought the car used from a private party for 4k and have never looked back. The car is extremely reliable with few repairs, except for the obvious, brakes etc. I just took it to the mechanic and he told me that if I continue to take care of it, should last me another 100k. Lastly for those of you with air bag light problems, there is a fix on the internet, havent figured out how to do it yet, but it should get rid of the annoying blinking light. I have heard infinity wants upwards of $600 to fix, shame on you when it has always been a glitch with the system. Happy Driving to all Infinity I30 drivers!!

Excellent used car at a low price. - 1998 Infiniti I30
By brianq727 - September 4 - 10:01 amI bought this car as a "go betweener" when my WRX died on me the second time because a shady mechanic shop j went to. I paid $2500 for this car with 127K miles and only expected to keep it a few months but it has really grown on me and is super reliable. Only things Ive replaced in the 15 months Ive owned it are a radiator for $110 and the O2 sensors for $130. Not bad for a car with 140K miles on it. She starts right up everyday and I plan on keeping her for a long time since Im enjoying the "no car payment" life. I would highly recommend buying one of these used from model year 1996 to 1998. I see them for under $3K all the time and would make a great first car as well for teens.

Great car - 1998 Infiniti I30
By Infiniti_for_life - August 22 - 2:00 amIve had my I30 for about 1 1/2 years and have driven it pretty hard. I havent had any problems with it other than the drivers side airbag seems to have a faulty connection in it so the airbag light blinks. Everything else works great. For a car with 113k miles, it has been well worth the money.

Luxuary Car for economic people - 1998 Infiniti I30
By JoeKingsly - June 2 - 2:00 amI bought this car on 2000 when it was 2 years leased and 15k Miles on it. I did not have the intension of buying a luxury car at all because of the expensive maintenance cost. I bought this car because I got a better deal compared to other non-luxury cars. Then I found that this car has lot of luxury features for less cost. I put 60k on it and no problem till today, less maintenance cost. The acceleration is powerful enough to pass any vehicle easily. The car is spacious with ergonomic leather seating. Bose audio is awesome. I enjoy driving this car all the time.

Jackpot - 1998 Infiniti I30
By jmcizchillin - December 24 - 2:00 amI have had not one, but two infiniti i30 sedans. My first a 1997 i30t, which I bought with 80,000 miles for $7000 cash in 2004. My wife and I drove it to 175,000 miles in 2010. The only thing I replaced was the starter! The second was a 98 i30 base model I bought with 105,000 miles for $4200 cash in 2007, I traveled a lot with it and took it to 160,000 miles and Im still driving it now. We sold the 97 earlier this year. But I am still driving the 98 at 161,000 miles. Ironically the only thing I had to replace on it was a measly starter! Both cars ran as good from day one to last day I drove them. (one of them was earlier today) this is one of the best and most reliable cars ever made.

Best car I ever owned. - 1998 Infiniti I30
By allanc1 - November 3 - 3:48 pmI purchased my 1998 I-30 in 2002, as a used car with 40K miles on it. I now have 297,600 miles on it. Outside of normal maintenance such as tires and brakes, I replaced the alternator once and the battery once. I change the oil every 3000 miles or as close as possible. It is the best purchase I ever made (and trust me, I have purchased some dogs over the years). I wish I had another just like it.

Garchs i30t - 1998 Infiniti I30
By garch - April 7 - 10:00 amIve had the i30t for 4 years and I love it. Two warranty items were a smelly sunshade (whale glue) and a poorly charged battery both replaced free of charge. The battery issue was found and corrected during routine maintenance. I get nearly 30mpg highway and 22 city. Id like to get a new infiniti, but I love this one too much!
