Overview & Reviews
Last year's 2.4T model is now the 2.5T, with the same 208-horsepower engine as the AWD model. Bi-xenon headlights are a new option, while the sport package for the 2.5T includes speed-sensitive power steering.
- Superb comfort, wide variety of safety and luxury features, balanced ride and handling characteristics, available all-wheel drive.
- Handling lacks true sport sedan precision, expensive optional equipment, turbo lag and torque steer in the T5 model.

Great car to be seen in! - 2004 Volvo S60
By Naseem Helms - June 18 - 10:00 amI have had more compliments on this car than any I have ever owned. I have the atacama leather with black exterior. What a combination! Every drive-through I am in, someone comments on my gorgeous interior. This car is so much fun to drive. It handles great.

2004 Volvo S60 -- Good Car - 2004 Volvo S60
By outlaw704 - May 14 - 11:40 amIve put a little over 25000 miles on my White S60 since May 04. I am pleased. The exterior is excellent and the interior is very nice. My only negative would be the lack of legroom for back seat passengers. The ride is nice -- firm, but smooth. Positive steering feel and very responsive brakes. My gas mileage has been better than expected; about 27+ mpg average. Straight highway is around 32 - 33 mpg. This car is based in Texas; the air conditioning has no problem cooling the cabin quickly and comfortably. Generous, very large trunk. Mechanically, everything has been fine, so far... Fit and finish are excellent. I got $5000 off by waiting til the end of the model year.

Who knew a Volvo could be this much fun? - 2004 Volvo S60
By boondoc - May 11 - 2:00 amIts strange to think that Im driving one of the faster yet also one of the safer cars on the road. With a car of this caliber, a manual transmission is a must. Auto shouldnt even be offered. Pretty much set on buying the 330xi until I noticed the R existed -- on this web site as a matter of fact.

Value! - 2004 Volvo S60
By peglegger - April 5 - 10:00 amGreat value for a high-performance, fun-to-drive car with an awesome interior. The Atacama leather is an option that I wasnt going to do, then decided to get it at the last minute...awesome. Stereo is incredible. Big step up from my previous car, Audi A6 (that was only the 2.8 liter, however). Interior and variable chassis would be the two biggest plusses over the A6.

First Volvo Purchase - 2004 Volvo S60
By TEB - March 30 - 2:00 amExcellent vehicle so far. A couple of vibrations that need attention, but fun to drive. Build quality/comfort is exceptional. Dealer experience was superior! Interior choice of materials and leather were good. Car feels luxurious and sporty at the same time. Sport package w/ driving lights and premium package was a good choice.

Volvo S60 2.5T 2004dc - 2004 Volvo S60
By DCottrill - January 17 - 9:56 amI bought this car as it was being "pulled" off the truck. It has been an excellent vehicle these past 7 years with no maintenance issues. I have followed the mfg guidelines for service, every 7,500 miles, and it continues to run like a top as they say. A most recent 1,800 mile round trip to S.C. from Ohio averaged 32.3 mpg including some city driving. The only drawback would be the leg room in the rear seating area, but trunk space is huge for this size of vehicle. I plan on keeping this vehicle for another 130,000 miles. I hope the new owners of Volvo dont change a thing on quality!

This car is a sleeper - 2004 Volvo S60
By Ryeman - January 16 - 10:00 amI am so glad we looked at the S60 when evaluating our car choices. I really did like the Infiniti G35, which has all the rave reviews, but after driving this car for a while, I dont think I gave up anything for the Volvo. With the huge factory incentives they were offering, it was too hard to pass up and Im glad I didnt. There will be plenty of G35s crusing around town, but I save a few grand and got a car that is a bit more distinctive. I think the car is a sleeper in the marketplace.
